Bolton stuffed 5-0 at home today and the EFL still think the competition has integrity?

Just another delaying tactic. Both clubs, if they aren't financially fit and proper to operate a club to play in the football league from August 3rd out you go. I wonder how many more clubs would fail that condition?

Both Bury and Bolton it is to late, they have made a mockery of the E+F+L our manager quotes on the difficulties of sat = tue games and the effects on players. Bury ran out of time, and Bolton are a joke.In the interest of the football, league 1 should be 22 teams, and rules need to be enforced. Their are some big clubs running a tight rope. Showing what the results will be===Bury and Bolton=====Showing incompetence in the system=Bury and Bolton

Let's see what happens... My guess is both survive on dubious grounds and this episode repeats itself in a few years time.

Let's see what happens... My guess is both survive on dubious grounds and this episode repeats itself in a few years time. My thoughts exactly - and I predict that us (and other clubs) will be disadvantaged by 1) having to re-arrange fixtures against Bury 2) teams that have played Bolton already having an advantage in terms of goals scored and points earned. Points deductions are all well and good and mean that relegation is less likely should we have a bad season but that advantage of points that some will have having played Bolton’s youth team early in the season and the impact of another re-arranged game for a tired squad could make the difference for a play-off place. Bolton have already cheated us out of a third successive season in the Championship and frankly, I will cheer and dance if they are (rightly) kicked out of the league.

“The League One side has until 17:00 BST on Tuesday to complete the sale or offer reasons for an extension, or face expulsion from the EFL.” There’s the get out right there.

Bolton won't get expelled today from the league, they'll have another 14 days to prove they can forfill their league fixtures whilst in administration, still no news on any buyer forthcoming.
Bury....... of the 51 companies Steve Dale has been involved in, 43 have been liquidated.

Bury....... of the 51 companies Steve Dale has been involved in, 43 have been liquidated. The issue for Bolton is the fact that the administrators have said that if the deal is not done by close of play today and issues resolved then they will have no option but to start selling off assets and liquidating the company/club. Under those circumstances the 14 days notice becomes something of a moot point as the club would not exist in 14 days time. In my opinion the threat of liquidating is unlikely to happen and I think is the administrators way of saying to all parties that they need to get they act together and sort their differences. Liquidation benefits nobody so my gut feeling is that this will get sorted by someone backing down and signing off the deal at the 11th hour.

This is a really complicated situation at bolton and the administrator will be doing its best to satisfy the creditors. To do this, clearly being in the football league is important. Time really is up against them with the transfer window soon to shut. After this point even if the club is sold there will be limited options to bring players in and given they have not been able to fulfill their games so far, this poses the biggest issue IMO. Another 14 days is pointless. I suspect a deal will be done this week and they will bring enough enough loans and signings to complete the season and they will be relegated at the end of the season. If the deal was dead the administrators would be closing it down already.
I do fear the nail is in the coffin though for bury.
I don't feel the league can afford 2 clubs to go under given the knock on consequences down all of the league's with promotions and relegations.

The EFL is s joke, football is a joke. Cheats prosper. The EFL is in an impossible position trying to keep all interested parties happy here. In this situation it is impossible to find a scenario where: owners, players, creditors, fans, other clubs and other fans are all happy.
