I’d just accept the fact that there will be more Derby than Burton there and just let people in wherever they want.

To be honest if Burton fans don’t fancy it (and they often don’t) I’d give Derby as many as they want. And that would apply in the season too if we can’t sell our allocation - let the away team have them and fill the ground.

Probably doesn't matter so much with a local Derby friendly game giving a larger allocation, but to give away our home advantage in league games would be wrong and a disadvantage for us. We need to get more Brewers fans through the gates, whether that means more seating or temporary seating. It's bad enough when Villa etc have fans all over the ground!

Money is what determines the level of football you play at, if the top clubs had a budget of 2 million to spend on salaries, they would become the bottom clubs . it remains sad, that we can sell a full away allocation but home tickets, just stroll up if you feel like it. Tis a shame our fanbase will only fill half of the Pirelli on a good day. If we want to compete in this league and strive for Championship football,we have to retain players not be at the mercy of small clubs around our own league , Burton Albion fc are not to blame and anyone can see they are a outstanding club, and The best way to generate cash is to sell tickets. Wembley do it half the ground ,3-500 away tickets==3-500 home tickets,Atmosphere comes from events on the pitch.Use the Wembley mode segregate the fans, separate parking,we all ready have separate pubs,A full house always brings a buzz Be nice to give Clough a chance to build a squad, and only have players poached by top clubs. Let Bradford city-Portsmouth=Bolton etc be a thing off the past

I've STILL never heard anyone in the ticket office ask me how many seats I'd like to buy when they've told me we've sold out. How do we know what the demand is if we're not measuring it? cbh1, I know this is going to sound a bit daft and I'm not trying to come across as a know it all but could you sneakily drop into a conversation with Jody at some point? We don't need to have great technology to measure it, a simple shared excel. If we sell out of seats, ask the customer how many they were hoping to buy, stick that number down and in 2 or 3 months we know if there is demand for extra seats? If we have no seats and they pay to go into the stands instead that's fine, if they put the phone down without buying any tickets, we've lost money. If it is already happening like that, I apologise.

Good idea, but you would hope the office staff monitor the seating ticket demand already to determine on expanding the seating. Even if it' means using part/half of the North stand it's got to be worth it financially? Might be worth a mention to the club like you say 👍🏻

Might be worth a mention to the club like you say 👍🏻 I know I'm a big headed so and so craig1 (great name by the way) but one of the things I did while in sunny Polska was to put together a strategy to reduce hiring costs and increase commercial revenue through upselling in the ticket office. It worked, Upselling is a huge, especially for a community club like ours where the players are so ready to give their own time. Imagine the ticket office pro-actively selling shirts, scarves, signed pictures, especially when an adult rings up for tickets for him and his kids. Who's your lads/lasses favourite player? Lucas you say? Would you lad like to meet him? How about we stick a signed shirt to one side for you to collect on Saturday and Lucas will be there around half one to say hello and give your boy his shirt. Every single call into the club should be used as a chance to get an extra 20-30 quid per call. Incentivise the staff to sell frigging club towels if we need to. We're all loyal and once we've got our credit card out it's a lot easier to get us to spend on our football club. I might be wildly wrong but let's ask the forum people who ring in for tickets, have you ever been asked an extra question? Either on ticketing or merchandise? I think we're very good at a corporate level and have a good little team of two or three who focus on the business customers but believe we miss a trick with your average joe bloggs like me.

^^^ The last time I asked about an out of stock item in the shop I just got a shrug of the shoulders and told I don't know. Can I order it then (pay and let me know when it's arrived) sorry was the answer, we can't do that.
I've said it before, as a club we are missing some revenue just in leisure/kit/souvenir sales. Maybe it's the club being prudent about not overstocking on these items, after all they have budgets to stick to I guess.

I don't know why but it doesn't seem we can buy a match day pass for ifollow today. Yet as Trevor mentions above, Derby fans can watch the game on their equivalent Rams TV. cbh1 any reason for that pal?

I feel the same cant make the game, willing to pay,at the brewers end it is like the match does not exist. But a club just down the road, have their own t-v at our ground, while our fans have no access or cant even listen to it live. We just are a small town club.and the big boys are having a laugh.if we cannot watch it then no club should be given the rights in our own back yard.My heart sank when Bywater was mentioned is he having a good game. Nigel is very quiet

For me Bywater is shocking..... I won't say thankfully 'cos I never like having a go at our own players but. Thankfully Stephen won't play too often. A Derby supporting mate texted to say anything even half a yard either side of him and it's a goal, anything straight at him, it's a fumble. Quite complimentary about some of our passing and pressing but I guess it's easy to be complimentary when you've just dicked us 5-2.

Craig I hated typing the message, but I just do not think he is good enough for the professional game anymore.

As for me it puts us in our place a good lesson for us won on and off the pitch.our fans were treated like second class citizens .And the team to a 5 goal treat leaving the yellow brick wall flattened.looking forward to a match report. The rams fans were privileged, any that could not get to the game, just payed and watched it.At the PIRELLI our home ground. What a farce, i know one thing if Nigel is still on board, there will be lessons learnt. He is so quiet

Trevor it must be hard to see your ‘settled team’ decimated weeks before the start of the season. He was exactly the same last season and yes it is worrying.

Trevor it must be hard to see your ‘settled team’ decimated weeks before the start of the season. He was exactly the same last season and yes it is worrying. Sometimes Nigel's body language looks worse than his mood, even though I don't doubt he's not thrilled. (again not based on any inside info) I remember the Hull game where me and Ian actually thought he'd be walking away. One thing that can be said with certainty about Nigel, he's not a quitter. Even at Derby where conditions at times were a joke he kept his head down and he kept going to work. So unless someone comes in for him, and it would have to be a good club with a good chairman. I think he'll buckle down and get on with it. Did we play good stuff in spells? If yes, it will be little things like that keep him going. We are what we are at Burton, I remember a while back in one of his interviews he said, there's only so much you can do at a club with gates of 3,000 and it's much easier if you've got 17-18,000 coming every week. He deserves a shot at a bigger club again and I don't mean that to sound disrespectful to Burton. I certainly don't want him to leave. He'll keep grafting his balls off and doing his best to work with what he's got. Again I'll say we could do with a new face coming in player wise, a nice little boost with an exciting young lad coming in and suddenly the whole place will get a lift.
