For sure when they train the aim will be to parry to safe areas though

I've noticed this seems to be happening a lot nowadays and been heard to often remark...."That was a great save but he just put it back into the danger area for the guy to tap it back into the goal....why didn't he simply deflect it out for a corner which would have been easier anyway than parrying it back....? Who's training these keepers these days?" Maybe it's this guy? ;-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi9vZCo215wI know I've ALWAYS got a story, but it's because I've always got a story. One of the weirdest couple of hours of my life was meeting Jan while I lived in Warsaw, me him and Grzegorz Lata went for a couple of beers. Imagine his face when I explained to him in Polish that I used to live with Brian Clough and that I'm sorry he said what he said. Imagine MY face when he said Brian was right ;-) Oh how we laughed. Oh how my head hurt in the morning with his insistence on "Pierwsza Nogi" and "Drugi Nogi" toasting with ice cold vodka. Lovely, lovely fella.

Don't get excited- blah. Don't get too carried away - rah. We could struggle - blah. Excuse my french but screw that. Watching that I'm getting carried away. I'm getting excited and I'm getting my play off scarf knitted already. Maybe it was the music as much as the saves but I loved that. Loved it ;-) I turned the music down. That was some compilation though to be sure. Is there one of all the goals he let in too? 😉 I there lies the problem with highlights reels. I had a discussion (regularly) with Peacock about this. He would analyse the 2.27 footage from our away games and blame Sharps or whoever's for the goal we conceded. What he didnt analyse was the 7 or 8 other tackles or interceptions that the same player that didn't feature in the 2.27. Watch to DVD highlighs from our promotion season from the Conference. Buxton and Poole made loads of mistakes. How did they ever get into the team? Answer - games are more than highlights.

Callum Hawkins coming in at approx 1 inch less in height 4 years his junior and,our own Stephen Bywater Looking at it Bywater not so agile and loses concentration during games. Hawkins like Campbell a exciting prospect ,only hope when he is called upon.after years of coaching not deciding at the last minute he was not good enough. It looks like O'hara will be no 1 ,and it will be his shirt to lose.Bywater will give experience to the role, and Hawkins will develop and learn. O;hara should have experience in having little to do playing for Man Utd, and last year being the last line of defence while defenders went missing. So the scene is set for 2019/20 and we have our goalkeepers, im feeling confident in this department.

In the earlier video posted it was good to hear the football commentary voice of Hugh Johns again. Ironic that there was a goalkeeping howler in that England v Poland game but at the wrong end. Interesting to see an horrific penalty area dive at 1:41 from Mick Channon. Some people say diving started way after 1973 and that it was a Johnny Foreigner import. Reference earlier to a certain young goalkeeper we had on loan (Jordan someone who disappeared without trace after us), was anyone at that Cheltenham (away) game for his debut and witnessed that goal he conceded? I stood there head in hands wondering what on earth we had signed. Here it is again... www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdSqCwf02cs

Interesting comparison Forest have just signed Man City keeper Muric on a season long loan He's aged 20 and played in their League Cup Games last season (including against us in the semi final legs). 3 years younger and far less experience of games than O'Hara. Did he even have much to do playing for City in the League Cup? I imagine he's good with the ball at his feet though! I also imagine Pep wouldn't let him go if he wasn't promised the season at Forest as a starter. On paper which of us have got the best season long loan? We would have as many if not more question marks about the 20 year old I think? And he's signed for a Championship team Be interesting to compare how they both do. Another one we could never afford to buy of course Well our Manchester season long loan keeper seems to have definitely started the better of the two The Man City lad started for Forest last night against Olympiakos. Had a nightmare and conceded 3 (all from crosses) early on and was subbed at half time. They lost 3-0. He looked like a fish out of water on the highlights I've seen. Whereas from what I've read - our guy has started well? Funnily enough Forest fans were very excited about their signing on their forums (before last night) whilst we were a bit more reserved on here

Muric also conceded one of them after NOT being good with the ball at his feet and having to poke the ball out for a corner (from which came a goal) when he got into a mess!
Ian McGibbon... I can only recall ONE mistake in all Pooley's time with us but I'm sure that's me airbrushing a few from history (the one was letting John McGrath's corner for Tamworth slip in at his near post. I think.)

Who's this we ;-) No reservedness here. I lost my you know what when I saw the highlights reel and I don't even care how he played overall last night, I'm not changing my mind ;-) For those who were there, how did he play overall? ;-)
