Bit confusing to say we are going to recoup our investment sounds to me we aren’t going to get someone else in, have we now become a selling club?

Bit confusing to say we are going to recoup our investment sounds to me we aren’t going to get someone else in, have we now become a selling club? a) We have already signed a central midfielder this window so don’t necessarily need to sign a replacement. We also have Ben Fox and Joe Sbarra battling to play in centre midfield plus a new academy graduate, Ethan Vale. b) What do you mean ‘have we now become a selling club’. We have always been, and for a club of our size, always will be a selling club where good young players are concerned. Manager and chairman have always said that if it is in the best interests of club and player then we do the deal.

Bizarre decision this one. Then again so was mcfadz.. And if people think John joe o toole is the answer I would hate to think what the question is. We need more fresh faces and quick.

Please explain why it is bizarre. Club approaches for player offering an acceptable fee and the player makes it known he wants to do the deal to move to a ‘bigger’’ club. What do we do? Hold him to the last year of his current deal and then watch him walk away for nothing next summer potentially? Lets give O’Toole a chance rather than writing him off before he has even pulled a shirt on. We need a keeper, yes, and we appear to be close to signing Jevan Anderson imminently. Another loan or two potentially after that and we will be fine.

McFadzean was out of contract so there is no real decision for us to make. We told him what we could offer him within our budget and he could get better elsewhere so off he goes, that's football. As CBH1 says we could have refused Cov's offer for Allen and made him stay for next season and then he goes on a free and is probably an unhappy player and he doesn't perform as well as he can. There are lots of deals going on up and down the country like this one and at much bigger clubs than us. As I said earlier Fox and Sbarra have the potential to take Allen's place and maybe perform better. We have signed a centre back and a midfielder already so Fadz and Allen have been replaced and we just need a keeper now. No issues as far as I am concerned.

i find a issue having Allen being one of our successful midfield players in our quest for a top 10 finish in league 1. And we lose another player to a run down football club, with no ground or stability. undisclosed fee saying we will recoup some of our investment.very little said about it only we thank the player for his efforts for the club. Living with the fact any tin pot club can attract our best talent.leaves me depressed. Allen happy to join a massive club, Coventry a club in turmoil playing league 1 football. Its like losing on a saturday depressing. Nigel saying little he lives in a world were it is what it is,and we a small groupe who follow the brewers, what is it we move on, Reality at times hurts In Clough i trust

Everyone has been in Danzig at one time or another. He changed his backing musicians for every album.

We've lost bigger profile players than Allen and went on to survive ok, Naylor and Irvine spring to mind in the midfield dept, they've knocked in a few goals like Allen for us.
Some clubs thrive on moving players in and out, we seem to be ok doing it, it keeps us solvent and with the dealings so far we haven't done badly on it either.

Bit confusing to say we are going to recoup our investment sounds to me we aren’t going to get someone else in, have we now become a selling club? 12 posts. Twice you've repeated the same post 3 times without adding anything to it. Twice more you've asked why we haven't spent any money. I'm up for giving you a lesson on skype as to how to use the quote button if you like. There may even be a youtube video somewhere Happy to give my time to such a positive "pro club" poster who both understands and appreciates the difficulties we face financially. Would be nice to get more members on here so if you're struggling, just give me a nudge and I'll help out wherever I can.

Is it going to be down to me to be the forum "bully" again?
I know I could ignore him but come the eff on. Is this really the kind of stuff we have to put up with under the guise of we're all entitled to an opinion?
