The main other place is nothing to do with the club. It was set up after the club closed the 'official'supporters page.

Any Burton fan who is disappointed with the club is not a fan,and is just winding people up. The club have done nothing but develop beyond anybody's wildest dreams. Any body frustrated well that can be understandable being a minnow always being bullied can leave a sick taste in your mouth.Watching clubs with huge resources throw millions away makes fans disillusioned.it frustrates.Burton required 1 top goalkeeper and 1 top defender while keeping their squad together. Not a lot to ask for in the modern game with millions being banded around. But this is Burton with 3000 turning up ,and a very small budget, and after reality kicks in,most fans, admire the work being done at the club, and can only admire the frustration of the staff who live with being competitive daily, and have beaten the odds over the last 20 years. So frustration turns to pride and admiration for what this club has achieved,So welcome all our new signings

Luckily for me I never look at the other place. I honestly cannot work anybody out who criticises this club and manager. The challenge was to make the conference but the real dream was to make the football league. What this club has achieved since joining the football league is absolutely beyond certainly my dreams and most people I speak too. Although i’m a pretty new poster on here I’m so glad this is the forum I choose to be part of with many great posters on here.

I don’t bother. I get wound-up too easily and end up making statements I later regret. It frustrates the hell out of me, particularly when I know that some of these people have followed Burton Albion home and away for many years. They would no doubt distinguish between their love of the club and their dislike of Clough. That is fair enough on one level but the facts don’t back it up and so they resort to lies and “opinion dressed as fact” in order to excuse their behaviour. I did refer to them as “knuckle draggers”on there, which was probably accurate for only a few, but when a very longstanding supporter who I previously respected greatly said he would “point [me] him out” to someone else on there who was implying physicality, I hastily tried to backtrack and made a retreat. I wasn’t intimidated but I think that was the intent. Strange 'cos he's such a lovely bloke in "real" life and I mean that genuinely. One of the nicest fella's I've met. We fell out over the Maddison dive in the 1-1 with Norwich, both he and Ash were convinced it was a penalty with their view from behind the goal. I was in line in the seats and we all (about 20 of us) literally laughed when he went over it was so clear. All I said was it was never a penalty, Ash got sensitive as Ash does and that bloke who we both had long standing respect for totally lost the plot with me. There is a group of a few (including the J brothers, who can dish it out fine but are quick to throw out the "you're just a Clough lover" whenever I pull them up) Really disappointed as me and him (and his family) had got pretty close. I don't like losing friends over football but if a friend knows I get upset when I read someone hammering Nigel then if they valued the friendship they wouldn't do it. They can have those views, fine, but don't shove them down my throat, especially over something as stupid as a non penalty. I miss him. How bizarre eh? Especially considering the way our relationship started. Proper emotional roller coaster being a Burton fan and a forum regular. As for anyone threatening or even semi threatening you, jesus h.... they can't know you as a bloke. I'm sure you could handle yourself if you needed but if ever the phrase I'm a lover not a fighter, suited anyone, it's you pal. Point him out to me and I'll nibble his ankles to bits for you ;-) Or I'll just talk him into submission. I'm like a dog with a bone ;-)

I'd say I wish you got here earlier than you did , but it matters not. You're here and you talk sense. We need more like you. In my humble opinion of course. *** we also DEFINITELY need a new keeper just in case my last few posts are too rose tinted****

Question====How can anyone supporting Burton Albion not RESPECT Clough and Robinson and all they have achieved with nowt,in football terms. In 20 years their story is mow history Please with about being critical vent your views on Forest n Derby . Derby== 1 season premier league==15 championship = 2 in league 1=premier league 2,for a club with over 30 thousand fans,a fantastic stadium state of the arts academy. multi millions spent. No ground.!7 years in the wilderness. Now starting with 13 manger in 10 years, hoping to go with a foreign import, move on little old Burton small fry. Forest 13 seasons in the championship==7 in league 1.yet again another club with over 30 thousand fans,a fantastic stadium due a over haul again multi millions spent this time over 20 years in the wilderness, now on their 15 th manager in 10 years again going with a foreign import.test your knowledge picking on little old Burton. Shameful, Burton Albion 10 years non league promoted to football league club in 2009- 6 seasons league 2- honours champions- 1 season in league 1-honours runners up.2 seasons in championship .1 season league 1 ===ground still non league standard-fan base 3 000 maximum spend over 20 years perhaps 1 million. conference title==champions league 2==runners up league .1= 2 seasons in the championship.plus reaching playoffs twice league 2. How can any football fan say Burton Albion fc is not a success story==footnote 1 manager sacked in 20 years. club financially stable this club is a football miracle

I'll guess yourself, Broomo, cbh1 etc challenge the posts from time to time. I suspect I'd be tempted. Surely that just gives it credibility?

I'm not on there pal. It's too nasty even for me and that's saying something 'cos I normally don't mind getting some stick to put some things right. On there it's just downright abuse. I'm STILL sure it was one of that lot who stopped me going to games by threatening to knock me out after an away game, where I stood up for myself and the team only to get confronted in an alley on the way back to the train station by my own set of fans. I'm a talker not a fighter ;-) Don't join the group pal, it would lead to spend too much of your own time angry with people who aren't clever enough to bother with.

To say i pay attention to anything Burton Albion is putting it mildly,I love my football, like insideleft i would like to look at the other place. To many people turn a blind eye to bigots, and to football fans i know, they treat Burton has a non entity, and with a following of 3-000 who can blame them. A visit to Burton reminds them of their child hood when they where into non league football, before moving on to professional football mixing with top players of the game. But any club playing against the brewers have a tale to tell, and a respect for the club and marvell at its achievements. I ran into a forest fan on the cost, and he was still reeling about Matty Cash and astounded that our centre forward come winger, played left back and had Matty Cash one of their better players in his back pocket.good old Lukas .RESPECT is a word contributed to Burton Albion football club And pardon me looking at Derby==Forest=Burton over 20 years.listing Burtons achievements.I forgot the league cup semi-final in 2019. but i forgive myself so much has happend in the last 20 years. In football opinions are its life's blood. and as in life the good must out way the bad,and in 20 years its been good

Some of the abuse dished out is horrible - really nasty, vicious and personal. If you stick you neck out, you will be ganged up on and bullied relentlessly. They don’t tolerate alternative points of view. best to leave it as the echo Chamber of hate.

I was on there for a short while when it was first set up but I soon got fed up. It's a real 'Kangaroo' court job over there. Only the other day somebody, on the official club thread about Jamie Allen leaving was going on about not spending the money from last season's Cup run. When I merely pointed out that things like Lucas' long term contract extension, Quinn's contract extension along with Marcus and Ben's new deals amongst other things didn't all pay for themselves I had the same person jumping down my throat saying I was defending everything. It probably helped pay for Colin Daniel's signing too but I forgot about that at the time! Those pesky facts eh? They don't like it when you use those to rubbish their arguments. when I pointed out that I had merely answered his question with facts he went strangely quiet.
