You have to say that in the face of it this looks an excellent signing.
20 year old centre back from Chelsea with a good pedigree who likes to play out from the back sounds just the ticket and sounds like a direct replacement for Kyle but 10 years+ younger.
Just a keeper to sort out now and we will be close numbers wise to how we finished last season. Great news!

You don't stay long at Chelsea if you aren't decent. I imagine he'll be very good for us.
I'm excited for this season.
I was less excited for last season.
Guess that's just psychology!

It does sound very exciting. He will make mistakes, of that I am sure, there will be times when I suspect he will be physically dominated.
But, reading the report, he will be in the 18. He will be getting an opportunity.
Good lad.

I read somewhere last night that when heās played in the Checkatrade Trophy games against āseniorā pros over the last couple of seasons Chelsea have deliberately had him marking the oppositions more physical strikers to get him used to that sort of game.

If he is anything like Tomori loaned to Derby he will offer a lot 6 foot tall with pace, another for Nigel to nurture, nice to see Bryson was grateful for the opportunity and guidance given by Clough during his career in England.

would i be right to assume Anderson will not be joining us having now 5 posible central defenders, The inference in the reports is that we are still closing in on some sort of deal for Jevan Anderson, albeit that one looks like he is more at the level of the Academy players that we are bringing through as Nigel has spoken of it being akin to a first year pro deal that he would be signing. Not wishing to sound like an erstwhile poster but we only have Jake and Brayf who are recognized as centre backs although Brayf may well polay a lot at right back with Ben Fox slotting in there when Brayf is required in central defence. Wallace and O'Toole are not natural centre halves but will seemingly offer options there whilst this new lad appears comfortable anywhere across the back four by the sounds of it. Just hope he hasn't been under the wing of David Luiz too much!!!

Sounds promising. Suspect Bradley Collins may have given him a positive heads up about our set up.

Really good interview to watch that.
Seems as if it may even have been Richard who pushed to join us when you hear him say he was following us with interest last season.
Also really nice to hear young players from such a big club talk positively about our style of play. Seems we're building a bit of a reputation as a good footballing side.
Now if only our own "daft" fans could recognise and acknowledge this, it would be lovely.

Jevan Anderson already being described in that other place at "this season's Elliot Hodge" and "we are building a Conference squad".
'Supporters' eh?

I know we're not supposed to change quotes but figured as we know each other, you'd be fine. I fixed that for you pal. I mean this as genuinely as I possibly can. Folk like that DO NOT DESERVE to support a club like Burton, they DO NOT DESERVE to enjoy the success and the buzz the club creates and has created for the last 2 decades, when all they can do is hammer and criticise. I'm not fussed who slates me for having those views. I feel sorry for people like that who just have to moan and whine and criticise something, anything and I really struggle mentally to get a grip with their mindset. !@&* them. They're not worth giving time to. No doubt the morons will be bouncing up and down if we make the play offs though. Singing "Burton till I die".

I think it is a race as to who can be the quickest and first put with a wisecrack. And it us generally the same people. The same that often define themselves as 'loyal supporters'. I dont waste to much time these days. I despair, but generally it us not worth the hassle.

I donāt bother. I get wound-up too easily and end up making statements I later regret. It frustrates the hell out of me, particularly when I know that some of these people have followed Burton Albion home and away for many years. They would no doubt distinguish between their love of the club and their dislike of Clough. That is fair enough on one level but the facts donāt back it up and so they resort to lies and āopinion dressed as factā in order to excuse their behaviour. I did refer to them as āknuckle draggersāon there, which was probably accurate for only a few, but when a very longstanding supporter who I previously respected greatly said he would āpoint [me] him outā to someone else on there who was implying physicality, I hastily tried to backtrack and made a retreat. I wasnāt intimidated but I think that was the intent.

Yep they're nobs.
We don't really have a bad track record with signings. A few misses along the way (Thiele, Hodge, Flanagan (Southampton but he may have been "with" the other chap) and a few others) but most of the people we sign do pretty well.
Why they view our signings with such pessimism I'll never know. Weird.

We had this debate on here two seasons ago.
Iāve just looked at the āother placeā............
Why do the club allow this random abuse from random people to appear on their social media outlets? Is there a policy? Surely it should just be a news outlet?
There are all sorts of tools to hide, block, deleteā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.aren't there? Apologies if Iām out of touch!
