Oh and just for good measure we are prepared to listen to offers for boyce who apart from lucas is the only player in our squad anyone is likely to buy whilst at the same time the chairman wants £420 from us for a season ticket.... not exactly inspiring is it?

I suppose its just the enbarassment of going 7 months without a home win and needlessly getting relegated because of the gaffas terrible selection policy and then spending months in the wrong half of Div1 and now flying by the seat of our pants in terns of our squad next season with the gaffa almost begging brays and bucko to stay on leads me to think we are no making any progress but more like making up the numbers Names of the Prem teams?

So name one manager who could do a better job than Nigel with the same fan base, budget and resources, there must be plenty?

I suppose if we are all prepared to accept mediocrity with no real expectations of anything better thats ok but thats not real progress is it. We were eliminated from the championship because if NC mismanagement nothing else and BR. Knows that. Mind. Blown. We definitely have differing views on mediocrity. I feel sorry for anyone who works with you "Royston I sold twice as much as any other salesman this year!" "Mediocre performance! Back to work!"

Obviously we're prepared to listen to offers you dope. Everyone everywhere listens to offers for every player. If someone wades in and offers £2m, bye Boyce. We're a selling club, as most teams outside the top 4 prem spaces are!

We still took it to the last game of the season. Championship season 1 was great, I enjoyed this season more than the 2nd stint. I hate losing though so maybe it wasn't for me 😁

In the last few weeks of the season we beat the two teams who gained automatic promotion by playing them off the park. Earlier in the season we beat Sunderland who are one of the play off semi finalists also by playing them off the park. In all three of those games our attacking play was superb and correct me if I'm wrong but all of our midfield and forward line that took part in those games are signed up for next season. That's hardly flying by the seat of our pants squad wise and making up the numbers! Yes, the defence needs sorting but tell me one lower league team who's squad is sorted and finalised for next season. Contract offers are out there for two defenders and a keeper so what else can we do? Just look around at all the clubs who are in various forms of disarray due to financial mismanagement. Shame points deductions can't be backdated as we'd have survived in the Championship on that basis!

Season tickets are only £375 at Field Mill. Whole management team sacked for finishing fourth. Five of your best players return to their parent clubs after loans expired. Youth team manager appointed first team boss. Numerous other players released. Owner slashing budget after his gamble fails to pay off with promotion. Just another day in the life of an over ambitious lower league football club.

I hope Boycey is still with us next season, but every player has his price, and next May he is free to go! This club is just like any other, we go out to play each game and try and win it. Simple. We do though have to operate within our means. Our means are very limited by our club size. We must be in the lowest 8 clubs in the football league regarding turnover, and yet we finished last season 9th in league 1. That means 39 clubs were below us. How does this make us a poorly run club by any standard? Why is Royston still with us? Is he in fact still with us or just purposely posting irrational rubbish to annoy us all? I will not respond to any further Royston posts.

We were eliminated from the championship because if NC mismanagement nothing else and BR. Knows that.n royston you need to keep this forum active but be careful you could lose genuine posters of repute like broomo who could stand only so much rubbish. This post is so ridiculous it beggars belief, But because i am proud of the Brewers, i relish every opportunity to talk about the fantastic achievements they have made. Mediocrity, only been relegated once in 40 years, Rose from non-league to the championship after forming a club in 1950.==far to busy to cover our successes over the last 10 years. but being a regular supporter you will have enjoyed them also. One of my respects for the Chairman is the record of choosing a manager and showing faith in his decision making. our history is based on stability-commonsense-and reality living within our means, with cash taken from a fan base of only 2=500 loyal fans,of course you being one of them. Of coarse what is progress. what is a realistic expectation for a club the size of Burton Albion, With very small clubs carrying a fan base of 6=000. unbelievable it makes them twice the size of the Brewers..What chance of a club with a fan base of ten thousand maintaining championship football, I cant name one. Shucks even then they are three times a bigger club than the Brewers. The only experienced person in the football world at Burton Albion playing=non-league =top football league over 400 games==international football for England=a legend for his club=and top scorer since the 2nd world war=Been a manager for 20 years, and the most successful managers in Burtons history.=And Ben Robinson knows that. Every club he has managed when he left , where in a better place. [ expectation for a club carrying 2-500 fans--league football ] were are we at the moment league 1 is great, finishing 9th is positive
