Probably out of our range but Paul Coutts has been released by the Blunts. Signed for Clough twice I believe. Horrible broken leg at the Pirelli in 2017.

He may well be grateful to get a contract with us. I don’t feel he’s out of our range.

Do we need another midfielder in the squad? I would say only if we lose someone but he would be a useful addition if we can afford him. I don’t personally feel we need to sign anyone.

Coutts gets stunning reviews on Sufc forum. They rave about him. He's going to do a job for someone subject to being fit.
In addition, SUFC have also released Martin Cranie. 32 year old defender who also gets rave reviews on their forum. Can play anywhere at the back.
Both may demand too much in wages though for us

Problem with coults is age and fitness, With Quinn being the old head, we need youth and vibrance in the middle of the park, and with plenty of cover in midfield it is well covered. With Fadz it just brings reality back to us, a league 1 club struggling and with no ground of their own, Once more our better players can be enticed by LEAGUE ! clubs, it shows how vulnerable the ship we sail in at this level.

Kyle confirmed as signing for Coventry City . Just waiting for the quote from Kyle that says "I wanted to sign for a club that has the ambitions that match mine" as opposed to the truth, "I'm signing for more money". Looked forward to doing the double over them again next season.

Not yet, two year contract for the Sky Blues: www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/first-words--kyle-mcfadzean/Have they agreed a ground for next season yet? Personally I wish him well, it would be nice to see an few words from him in the Burton Mail, but it is no big thing if he doesn't want to.

Kyle trying to impress his new club already by saying Cov were the best team to come to Burton last year. Is he forgetting that we played Man City? Seriously though, my recollection is that we played them off the park at the Pirelli after they looked lively for 20 minutes or so. I also wish him the best apart from when they play us as he did give his all for us in the three years.

Bit surprised it's Coventry as Kyle could do a job in the Championship? He's getting on now for a footballer so cash will play a massive part I'm afraid. Also Coventry are a big club overall so if they were to gain promotion then they could sustain in the Championship, but they'll need a ground to play in first!
Good luck to him, Coventry have done well there!
COYB 👍🏻

Fielding Another old soldier,we already have one ,but keep them coming, its going to be a long summer,i am expecting about 3 new faces. If Kyle can find a new club, we can assume Collins is not impressed with what we can pay him.

If Kyle can find a new club, we can assume Collins is not impressed with what we can pay him. It would seem inconceivable that we can attract Collins permanently. It looks a very tall order. Why ? As a chelsea player He probably already earns way beyond our highest paid player and bear in mind we did not pay his salary last season otherwise he wouldnt have been with us at all. Additionally why would he want to join one of if not the smallest club in the football league for anything other than gain experience to go on to much bigger and better things.

I really hope that Brad stays (although I’m pretty sure he will have plenty of other offers, so we will do well to keep him). For such a young chap he has clearly progressed this season and to my amateur eye, he has potential to get better. A couple of seasons with a full time league one club with great training facilities and having Martin Taylor and Steve Bywater to learn from must be a great next step in his career.

You might be right but hes 23 in Feb and if he has aspirations of playing prem football he doesnt want to be playing in DIv1 does he? I could see him going on loan for one more year to a Champ side like we were last season?
