i have spent some of the evening going through and assessing recent posts
I have taken the decision to henceforth delete an posts with content that are insulting or bitching about other members of the forum. If a member has a post deleted I will contact them and warn them the next time I have to delete the post I will delete their account as well.
Let’s face it. It’s not rocket science, we all know how to behave and if a member doesn’t want to abide by the spirit of the forum, then I don’t want them on my forum.
I have done this before and the member will only be allowed back on the forum if they agree to behave. This is done by my accepting their new and different user name using the same iispn or whatever it is called. I will require them to acknowledge their old user name.
They therefore can chose to come back on the forum but only if they amend their ways.

This is absolutely spot on Norah.
It's completely possible to disagree with someone's view on football without resorting to insults and, actually, we all know that to be true. On Facebook recently, Steve Johnson and I disagreed vehemently and at length on a matter (I've no doubt we still disagree on it) but I've known Steve more than 30 years, we agree on just about everything else and we'll laugh about it and have a beer next time we see each other.
Thanks for your efforts with the forum. Not for the first time, I promise to be more active on it.

Evening everyone.
As you may be aware today two accounts have been deleted from the forum.
Like all members, they are welcome to reapply if they should wish to amend their ways, but I’m afraid the forum has , for the first time in years, suffered recently from people who whose posts fall into the category of my ordinal post on this thread, that is to say pro active or insulting posts about other members rather than debate about football.
Because of the frequency of this happening I am at the present taking a zero tolerance attitude towards it. But like in football, two yellow cards need to be given to make one red! Whether I deleted their accounts or they deleted them themselves is not for me to say......

Reluctantly i have to agree with NOrah attacks on Burton and the way it is run, went to far and was consistent, accounts being deleted is not nice. But somewhere a line has to be drawn.anyone getting a yellow is a fair warning.that things are getting to personal.
