You're on Facebook. You know it's not a small number of people On here you mean?? no im talking about the real supporters out on the street not in this little bubble how many times have the "real" supporters out on the street been absolutely outraged and then started abusing and arguing with the I'm assuming "false"supporters who have a) either tried o calm the situation down or b) jumped in like i do and tell them outright they are wrong. Two words which should just shut you up, but it won't and then I'll get hammered for trouble causing and no doubt you'll abuse my mental state again. Lee Colkin. remember how the "real" supporters were outraged? As for the manager. 14 yearrs at the club 600+ games as a manager. Dr Martens, he's not good enough. Unibond, he's not good enough. Conference, he's not good enough, League One, he's not good enough. You wonder I'm tired of you and get snappy? You'll NEVER stop. NEVER. Again you take to abusing fellow forum users either collectively or individually. Ian Mc, not a real supporter? Jesus man, when will people finally catch on? The forum was fine and calm until you came on and started the Ben Turner hammering the manager. (see January transfer window thread) Everyone calm, everyone wishing well Ben well but some like me shocked. Then you drop your bomb.

It's about time the people of Burton and surrounding area's got behind the Brewers and gave them massive credit for the achievements of the last 20 years or so.

We really arguing if he was a good player? He's without a doubt the 2nd best centre back we had.

I had a Twitter spat with Radio Derby, who a couple of weeks ago were bemoaning how difficult it was for"SuperFrank", after all he had to cut the wage bill... 9 signings pre season/August and only a couple going out and then they sign Ashley Cole... Fantasy football indeed, but hey, it worked for Bournemouth, they lost £50 million getting out of League One. Reality is that we are a sensible club, run sensibly, we make sensible decisions and sensibly don't go out of business not paying St John's Ambulance the tea bar lady and the car park attendant. Yay for sensible!

Terrible player wasnt he? ... he only won 8 of the 19 league games hes played in this season. Thank god he missed the other 10 weve played this season without him because after all we won 2 of them......... get real Nah, never rated him. I prefer a more mobile defender who can keep hold of the ball. As many have said about football..... its all about winning. You dont necessarily get anything for looking clever or running quicker.... I prefer a combative centre back who defends the goal properly is built for the job and has a track record at a higher level. Never know we might find another one like big ben who will play for less money

It's me expressing my views the way he expresses his. You and others are making me terrified to post. What have I said last post that is wrong? I'm being made to feel like a piece of shit as a person for defending the club. I know my football. I make no apologies for saying I know it better than a lot. Why don't you say here we go again when he starts the Turner thread?

Turner is a great loss but all the best to him good service to our club On the matter of the wage bill Clough said before the City second leg (on the BBC no less) that the wage bill combined for the 14 who played in the first leg was 25k pw. That is 1.3 so adding in those who didn’t play the wage bill is probably around the 1.5m mark I am not sure how you get to the rest of the squad only working out at 0.2m wages in total. Our squad is 28 so that would mean the 14 who didn't play in the first leg on average would earn just short of 300quid a week each. That's not far off minimum wage. Bywater and McFadz alone would be in excess of 200k.

You're on Facebook. You know it's not a small number of people Then they cannot have read the explanation either. And to be fair some of those on FB are just embarrassing themselves. Should Rhys wish to expand on his comment, I'm sure it will be interesting. We are 6 points off the relegation zone. One bad run and we will be down there fighting to avoid back to back relegations. I completely understand that we wont be able to offer Ben a new contract in the summer, but why on earth would we bring his deal to an end early, when he is arguably our best defensive option. I'm not going to join the Facebook mob and say that this is the death of the club, but I really don't see any positives from this.

I can't control what you view as confrontational. You think his first post on this thread isn't confrontational? I think it makes me want to vomit. Just because you take his view more than you take mine doesn't make me wrong. Norah has made it clear I won't be around much longer if I carry on speaking my mind. So while I'm here, I'm saying exactly what I see. I wouldn't be comfortable with me as a person if I just shut up and let it slide.

Because, and I think this is the only reason beyond saving us a few bob (which may be quite few bob depending on the contractual clauses) it gives a fantastic servant of our club, the best chance of getting a better deal for him. It happened with Moose. It has probably happened with very many other players over the time because our club and our manager demonstrably care. Will we miss him? Occasionally, but he gas had a few niggles. Will we wish he was still here? Occasionally. Will we be relegated because of it, or miss out on a play off spot? Probably not.

Does anyone know if we had to make a settlement payment to Turner or did he just ask to leave?

Checking the swear filter on that last post.
As I thought. So far at least the word shit isn't banned.
If it offends you or others, I'm sure a quick PM to Norah would see it added to the list.
