Sounds like Big Ben might be in talks with Dunde who are managed by one of his former Coventry team mates. If he signs it will be good to see Ben back in the Championship albeit the Scottish version! Long trek for royston though...

Joined Notts County, good signing for them and handy for Royston.

Shame to see him drop into the National League though - a great player at that level.

Some were immensely disappointed when he left and thought that he could still do a good job for the Brewers. I was sorry to see him leave (not immensely disappointed).
Once again I am reminded why I do the job that I do and football managers like Nigel Clough do what they do. Ben Turner had an injury hit time at Mansfield and now is at Notts County in the non league. Good football managers can see in to the future and will let players go at the right time. Alex Ferguson was the master at it.
Good luck for the future Ben Turner. A great servant of the club in that awesome season and part of the Burton Albion story.

He's probably at the stage of his career where his body won't let him train and play same week so he is finding a level he can get away with stuff at
If he can play enough games he could be a great signing for Notts

A nice end to a long running drama. Notts County in need of a lift.

I wonder how many times people can be proved wrong beyond any doubt before they go “hang on. Maybe Clough does know what he is doing”.

Are there any contracted players who he has let go on free transfers or not renewed contracts - players who wanted to stay - who have then gone on to bigger and better things? I can't think of any.

The only one I can think of as a possibility is Mark Duffy where if we had shown sufficient interest in him the days after promotion he may well have signed on. I maybe wrong but Sheffield United's interest in him only appeared to start after Birmingham released and we had already said signing him wasn't a priority. However, I take your point that he doesn't get much wrong!
