A question for people... Do people really enjoy these games? I get its a big occasion etc and I enjoy getting here, but having been to the man utd game last season and Liverpool the year before, I've not really enjoyed either, and this isn't much better. May have beens a bit different if Harness scored I guess. I enjoy the vast majority of league games much more. Maybe it's just me. No not really, that's why I'm sitting at home watching it. I got talked into going to Wembley, didn't enjoy it, just something missing for me. I like the smaller stadiums intimate atmosphere of it all. Yes I know I should be there supporting the lads but that's how I feel. Fleetwood? I enjoyed that, at least it's competitive haha. We're only here for the £££ anyway, and we've already sold out the home leg, so got some cash at least.

I’m at home, no intention of going to either game, because like you, I wouldn’t enjoy it. I like to see my Brewers compete. It’s a great achievement and I am proud, but it just ain’t my kind of night out.

Apart from the money we've taken for the 2nd leg, who would really enjoy the occasion? I think I'd need a few beers before that, I finish typing this at 8-0

Praise Man City's mentality. They're on us like terriers still. Does it do us good apart from the money? All I've had tonight is messages from the "general public" saying "Burton aren't very good they?"

Wish NC would sub Brad Collins, at this rate he'll have to miss Gillingham with a bad back.
You can then blame Bywater for the rest.
^^^ that last bit was a joke btw.

I wonder if Mick still wants a ticket for the home game?
I'm glad they brought in Financial Fair Play. At least it was a level playing field tonight - £535 million's worth of players vs Liam. What a joke.
Can I just brag a little? I sat at home tonight nice and warm (and thoroughly miserable) but was one of the 216 at Rochdale on Saturday. GET IN!!!!!!!!!! If not being at the Etihad makes me a bad supporter, so be it.
See you all Saturday! Bring on Gillingham. The boys deserve a MASSIVE ovation before the game.

Joking apart, I expected City to be good but not THAT good. Blimey. Their passing was incredible and they seemed to have three or four extra players on the pitch. They always seemed to have a bloke stood out on the wing. I don't remember any howlers for their goals - they were just too fast for us. It was incredible. There's not many times a game finishes and you think "Thank goodness it was only nine!"
Reminded me of being a kid and playing football on Sunday mornings. All the best players played for one or two teams - Chesapeake & Littleover Dazzlers and they smashed teams every week. We were just desperate to get those games out of the way and play a proper team!

We actually had them worried near the end.
They didn't actually have room on their electronic scoreboard had they scored 10
Nice of Pep to go and shake hands with all our players at the end
TBF to City they kept passing it and not being greedy even when they were 6 or 7 up
The way they dink the ball over the defence is scary
Anyway I'm looking forward to the home leg. No pressure. Just the chance to pay them back for what they just did to us.
Should be a fun night whatever the score

I know it's a forgone conclusion but for the Sky presenter saying city are through to the final is wrong and out of order, f---- muppets.

Well I for one didn't even get to witness it, we spent 5 hours, most of which was stationary on the M6. It was full time by the time we got off the M6...
