A real charm offensive by City at the mo. All well done. Just wonder if a City youngster might come our way to top it all.

I can't help thinking most fans (even away) will want to see him on the pitch, not just warming up.

27 coaches, onto the 28th.
Should be about 3,000 Burton fans there tomorrow night.
Decent turnout for a week night in Manchester.

Only 90 mins up the road!! The top tier of the main stand is closed for City fans - I'd imagine we're looking at a gate of 35-40k.

Hope they remember Nige pulled on the Sky Blue shirt for them and go easy on his team. I hope we come away with something we can take into the second leg with some sort of hope of still being in the tie. It wasn't the happiest of relationships as some City fans recall it. Quite.

I think when you consider it's a week night, in a less glamorous cup than the FA Cup (sad but true), and we only have about 2k home fans per normal league game, it's not too bad.

Which end are you in 😁 The opposite end to my wife and in-laws! I'll give you all a wave from across the field! Yes it's 'only' the Carabao - but, I mean, it's a proper semi final! I can't say I've been overly impressed with the marketing of the event on all sides though, and it's a shame that City are at home first - if it was at the Pirelli first I think it might have been more of a game. We will see. Hoping Pep plays a strong team, and that Brewers put up more of a show than Rotherham did at the weekend! At least trying the occasional attack would be nice, and we're not always particularly strong at the back.

NIGEL Clough wants all his players and all the club’s supporters to enjoy the moment as Burton Albion take on Manchester City on Wednesday night.
The first leg of the semi-final of the Carabao Cup will take place at the Etihad Stadium with the second two weeks later back at the Pirelli.
The Albion manager said: “We are going to enjoy the experience. Nobody gives us much of a chance and quite rightly so. But it’s great for our supporters. Some have followed the club for 40, 50, 60 years or more and never dreamt of being in a League Cup semi-final so let’s enjoy it.”
Clough says his players are fully aware of the size of the task that awaits them.
“I watched them play Liverpool and they were pretty frightening at times. Their work rate and ability all over the pitch was there for everybody to see. They also have strength in depth not just on the bench but below that.
“They have the best youngsters in the country at the moment, so whichever team they play has quality.
“Every game you have a chance but it’s just about what degree that chance is. Ours is extremely slim but there is always a chance in football.
“We won’t go into detail about their players as that will frighten the life out of our lads. They know how good they are as they watch Match of the Day each week.
“We will approach it the same way we have when we have faced Championship clubs and Premier League Burnley in the competition this season. We also can’t do too much work on them as we have no idea what team they will play - and that helps in some ways.
“We will just focus on ourselves, do our jobs and hope they have a terrible night. For something to happen in our favour they will certainly have to have an off night.”

It's very valid not to focus too much on City in training as like Nigel says we have no idea which players they will pick for us to even try to focus on

If any Albion players are on here remember this. Whatever team Manchester put out, they all take their trousers down the same way as you when they have a crap.

Just tried, got blank page online after logging on - any ideas? If I do it on my phone I need to log in, then go back to the page with the tickets (using the back button) click on the bit that says "Man city tickets click here" then bung them in the basket.

If you can't make it to the Etihad, there is a chance the game will be shown on hesgoal.com. I can't guarantee it but...
A friend of mine called me halfway through the Middlesbro game and I watched the second half live.
It's currently Tuesday at 9.00 and the Chelsea Spurs game is on. The commentary is in Dutch (the quarter final was in Russian) which is a blessing - we won't have to listen to a stack of patronising comments tomorrow night.
At the moment, we'll be playing Spurs in the final but there's a long way to go.
But don't bank on it. Hope it works.
