Interesting read. It must be a rare case of a merger? A lot of clubs wouldn’t probably share stadiums either. Identity is a huge part of being a football club, and it must have been a big decision by both sets of support to Effectively start again. I dare say, this could only happen in non league. Could you imagine for example, a Nottingham super club formed from County and Forest to challenge the Top six? No, neither could I.
