I would like to raise the value of a season ticket, as I buy all my tickets in advance: £18 * 23 = £414 Adult season ticket = £357 Effective saving: 3.16 games (13%). So, if you miss 3 games a season, then a season ticket does not offer "value". As a comparison to three other randomly selected clubs, their cheapest adult season tickets are: - Aston Villa 2018/19 Season ticket - £342 - Accrington - £219 - Walsall - £259 Bluntly, I think our season tickets are expensive. Every other club has an early bird incentive which knocks a significant amount off the season ticket before they hit c. £350, where ours then falls around average. I am tight with my cash - so the £18 tickets work out cheaper, and I probably miss 3-5 home games a season. Something to ponder, interested to hear thoughts. I think the SLG could pass comment on this kind of issue, but, it is very much a club business issue (see other comments above). Whether the SLG sees itself passing comment in business areas, I don't know.I was asked on FB what the SLG were happy with last season. I (personally) don't think performances on the pitch is an area for the SLG to go.

Your scope should cover anything that directly effects Supporters though which I believe this does. Worth raising, see what is said.

The above few posts are ambiguous/confusing.
You cannot possibly be suggesting the SLG influence/comment on playing matters?!
The SLG is surely about the "Matchday experience" as they call it these days ...prices,tickets,resources,parking,access and so on.....

The grey area for me is business decisions, prices, stadium improvements needing investment etc. I think we should be able to contribute to that discussion, but it is difficult without the business information. That is why, in some way, I support the notion of a fan representative on the board. As for playing matters, no absolutely not, I was just pointing out that was the perception of some on FB.

The club have announced matchday prices for next season are £18 (£2 cheaper) if bought up to the day before the match. Does this mean next season fans will be able pay £20 at the turnstiles for admission (so as pre-Championship seasons) or will the turnstiles be ticket only admission so fans will have to buy a ticket beforehand anyway? I’m pretty sure pay on the turnstiles went after L2 promotion (i.e. we couldn’t do it the L1 year) so not expecting this back even though I’d certainly prefer it. On a side note, I went to Uttoxeter yesterday for the first time, thought it was very nice! Best coffee I’ve had in years in ‘Bear’. Had some lunch in Marchingon too which was a very nice village.

The S-L-G is a voluntary body of supporters ,who give their time up to put the views of supporters to the club, and the club I am sure will consider points raised and answer questions raised were appropriate .Business decisions will be made by the shareholders and the board. Football decisions will be made by the Chairman and the Manager. Fans who are shareholders will have a say, Fans who are supporters will have a say when buying a ticket for the game .Facebook experts. Even our own forum give opinions .We wont agree on religion--politics-- or football. Our club is run by shareholders and professionals We give the S-L-G opinions and views to put before the club from a fans perspective. And thanks Ian for giving us a chance to present our views on this forum

Here's another one, a gripe really and a question need to be asked if you can Ian, mainly why....
The new seasons kit aren't available to the fans until just before, literally days last season before the first match kicks off. I was relayed information a few days ago that this seasons new kit will not be available until after the new season had kicked off. I've been and renewed my season ticket only this morning and I asked the question, when can I buy the new shirt? the answer in August, no date given just August.
Aren't they missing a trick here? I realise the delay could be our local firm can't get them made in time but surely they've been our suppliers for absolutely years now, we and them know when the deadlines should be by now. I also appreciate we may not know who our shirt sponsors are yet, again aren't we a bit slow in this side of things? Lost potential sales, money in the coffers we surely could do with now, it's an area we certainly fall down on as a club.

Will the SLG members be getting sight of the results of the recent club survey including additional comments? We do discuss it, we get a presentation on it from memory of last season. I don't recall seeing the additional comments, but then again I can't remember either whether there was an opportunity for free text. Yes there was free text. I assume some supporters have made comments on possible improvements.

Any chance of free wi-fi connection on match days in stadium? Yep but switched off during the 90 minutes for me, OK at half time and before and after the game but it annoys me people constantly looking at their phones while the game’s happening!

Any chance of free wi-fi connection on match days in stadium? Not sure on the costs of this but I would guess that installing a Wi-fi network to cater for the volumes of people wishing to connect would not be cheap and there is no financial return on it for the club. Would guess that this would be the club’s thinking and rationale on this one.

The agreement was to trial it at Bradford but within 6 months the agreement had collapsed as unviable, much to the disappointment of Bradford. Bury have their own free WiFi though.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Uttoxeter too. I've lived there for 24 years now and it's OK, although there's a few too many boarded up shops in the town as I'm sure you saw. Then again, that's hardly a unique situation to Uttoxeter. The Bear Coffee place hasn't been open long (maybe 18 months?) and I've heard people say it's really good. I've not been in as I'm not a big coffee drinker. Re: lunch at Marchington did you go to the Dog & Partridge? It's been a few years since I last went in there but as you say, it's a nice setting in a nice village. Apologies to Norah as I'm probably encroaching onto PM territory!

This is a very good point Bennyboy and the situation hasn't really progressed since the Conference days. I wonder just how many fans would have bought one to wear on their summer holidays (in say Spain or Greece) but then don't bother buying after the holiday if the shirts don't become available for sale in August. Also, does anyone know if the quality of the shirts has improved from the days of when wearing a shirt on a hot day was not a good idea as it gave an individual who didn't normally have personal hygiene issues a bit of a problem when they sweated, if you see what I mean!

That’s very interesting Woody. I wasn’t aware of that. What I would say is that as a member of the media team we are privy to Wi-fi when we travel to away clubs and even in the Championship some clubs struggled to provide adequate Wi-fi for the media, Leeds United being by far the worst. If clubs struggle to provide decent Wi-fi for a select few then without a league wide initiative I wouldn’t bank on most providing a decent service to its fan base. Bury is an interesting one. Having said that their chairman seems happy to chuck money into everything.
