How much will it cost the Leeds fans? £28 behind the goal, The same as us on the side. Someone on FB has though said there is a ticket offer for Leeds fans, Blues/Brewers for £38, doesn't say where those tickets are for. Their website says the £38 offer is for behind both goals. As far as I know home fans in the same stand as us will still pay what us and Brum will pay. It's win/win for them. If they fill the away end then they've made a load of money and if they don't fill the away end they have a massively partisan and intimidating home crowd.

Just read a BBC article from last season
The average price of an away championship ticket was £31.57 last season
We obviously bring that average down a little bit
With the limited size ground we have I feel we are missing an opportunity here
We could charge away fans £26 for standing and £30 for seats and away fans wouldn't bat an eyelid
I think we would get same number of sales But just increase our income by 150k to 200k approx over the season
That's a huge amount of money to us that we are missing out on IMO
We don't need to be cheap just because we are a small stadium

Football, the EFL, The Championship is in a mess. The football governing bodies need overhauling.
Dictated to by Sky TV, East Asian TV, betting companies and more.
Monies coming into the game don’t enhance it one jot. Let’s be frank our money doesn’t run it anymore
Personally I won’t be going to Leeds. Football supporters need to say “No”
Our board and/or supporters associations and indeed Ben need to take a stance along the lines “We welcome all away fans to our ground and Burton, we recognise the cost of travel etc etc………………and that is why we guarantee good viewing areas at affordable prices for all away fans”
There’s some good statos out there. Does anybody know of a table/resource listing prices for away fans at EFL grounds

Fair enough I didn't know that Well that's fair enough for Leeds then as well if they can get that kind of money from home fans They got just under 33k v Preston and 28k v Fulham on a Tuesday night so they are doing ok with selling tickets tbh

I think though they can only do these kinds of special deals 3 times a season (similar to when we do kids for a quid). It is interesting though that the EFL and/or FA have put these rules in place to protect away fans, yet any suggestion that they should go further and have an away fan price cap is rebutted with a 'nowt to do with us' response, the fact they are supposedly the custodians of the games seems to have passed them by. The EFL also do not have a fan representative on their board. Meanwhile the EFL big wigs are probably just landing in China after a very comfortable flight to do a draw for an English competition at 4.15am in the morning.

^^^ And I thought Yorkshire folk were tight with their money?
I am and hate being ripped off too. I wish I could go to all away matches, I have the time but not the spare cash, as with most I would imagine, priority takes over, football used to be, not anymore.
It used to be the same when we lost, it took days to get over, now just hours, I'm still passionate just in a different way.

Does anybody know of a table/resource listing prices for away fans at EFL grounds I agree with that. Personally I think Ben and the board should be doing the boycott of the Leeds Directors Box hospitality and refuse access to the Leeds big wigs at the Pirelli. That may get some attention. As for your last sentence, it is not that easy to compose, there are all sorts of caveats, additional £5 if you buy on the day, different category of game (Wednesday for instance have category A - category G), Derby offered a reduced price for season ticket holders buying in groups last season etc. You can go through the away grounds guide, that is usually quite accurate. The thing is a shambles yet the people running it are haplessly blasé or unaware of the shambles they preside over. They see no issue with cocking up cup draws, regionalising draws that don't need to be (for the sake of two clubs with unfit grounds), or holding draw for a major English cup in China at 4.15am BST (maybe they thought BST stood for Bull Sh*t Time).

So Leeds fans can buy a ticket against us and Brum for a total of £38? Yep. Wrong, isn't it. Incidentally, tickets for our trip to Norwich 3 days later (thanks EFL!) go on sale at 10am Saturday. £20 for adults and £17 for the coach. That's ticket AND travel for a 6 hour round trip for the same price as just the ticket at Leeds. If someone like me wanted to do both I wouldn't get much change out of £100 and that's before we factor in food, programmes etc...

Football clubs are run by shareholders or a owner, and board set out their targets, Some clubs have a large city following. And like many things, things cost more in a big city, Leeds have players that cost mega millions, and a massive infrastructure to operate We are a little country club, Who cannot afford a million pound player, The cost for a top club .reflects in gate revenue. Being new to these prices, means some will pay, and some wont. A few quid short from away supporters will not affect Leeds

A few quid short from away supporters will not affect Leeds I am sure that is correct Trevor, the point is not what they do and whether they can get away with it to meet their business plan, but is it the right thing to do? We have an NHS, a better business plan is a private health insurance scheme, the poor die quicker. Such is life/death. I know which model I prefer.

Is there anyone at all from the forum going or is it literally an en masse boycott?

Is there anyone at all from the forum going or is it literally an en masse boycott? I'm sure there will be I expect a coach from the club and an independent one fro Stretton Social. I would not criticise anyone for going, some good lads and lasses who really care and want to support their team.

If they could take a banner that expresses the discontent at the ticket prices that'd be nice. A bit like Dortmund did. But nobody listened, of course.

Nice as the Man U draw is I hope it doesn't distract from our difficult September league programme . Though I am sure Clough won't let that happen.

49 to Cardiff midweek fantastic burton fans, and what a reward for the win, without looking into aspects of why many more did not make it Be nice gesture if they all got a Man Utd ticket for free. I am proud of every one of them, and so pleased they had a brilliant experience.

I'll put £100 quid in to get the ball rolling, I think it would be a great gesture if everyone who went to Cardiff was shown the appreciation their efforts deserved. Even if it's £40 a ticket. £1960 quid would do the trick. If anyone else is up for chucking into a pot, even a couple of quid, fantastic. If not and money is tight, no pressure or daft obligation. I reckon we'll know within a couple of hours of a post going up if the general fan base thinks it's a decent idea or if they think it's a bit cheeky.
