The extension of Will Miller's loan and the comments of Will and Nigel seem to sum up what this club is all about. We're no Birmingham City and we're no Forest and long may it remain so. Let's have some fun at Watford.

Personally I cannot see young miller having any real input in our relegation battle? We need experience right now not young kids imo.

Pointless signing for a relegation battle, nothing against the lad,one step forward with Marvin, two steps back with Varney and Miller. 18 month contract for a 34 year old,at the end of his career how's that value for money?

Varney: Because he brings what we don't have... nous, experience and impact from the bench. He also has the right attitude. Miller: He is spot 6 on the loans which otherwise would not be used. He understands that, proper striker's goal at Wolves, came on and looked better (apparently at Reading, although I was't there). I can just see him getting the odd important goal off the bench during the rest of the season. Third sub, up against it, need someone to get on one in the box. He'll do for me. And you are building a relationship with Spurs, maybe next time we will get the equivalent of Tammi Abraham... We cannot compete with probably every other club in the Championship on wages or fee, I despair when people seem to ignore these FACTS to drag down what the manager and club are doing!

There's not much point in judging value, usefulness of a player to the team until we've seen them play. Miller I grant you looks a bit lightweight for the job in hand but I will give NC the benefit of his superior experience over mine to judge a players worth to the team. The other two, we wanted strikers/attacking players, we now have secured three in as many days, let's see how it goes. I hope these are additional to the squad without others going.

Seen Miller though and whilst I agree he is a bit lightweight etc, he does have something, that goal at Wolves was not just an accident...

Miller is happy to stay at Burton while being a academy player at spurs ,working with the first team squad, and hoping he can be of help for the rest of the season. With this attitude,i can see why Clough has time for the lad, Varney, now here is a chap

Varney, been around the championship most of his career, signed for Derby under jewel for 1,2 million pound, Clough did not play him because his remit was to Vastly reduce the wage bill, and their was a additional, fee after he played so many games,With a squad of 44 players inherited, many on big salaries, Varney was released for a estimated 750.000, Now many players at Burton have commanded million pound transfer fees. The team now is all about the squad available,,And at 34 Varney is a option, for a club with very limited resourses

You need a bit of experience for that. I'm pleased with him signing.

Looking forward to see Millers impact on the squad, and it looked promising at Sheff Wed, The last quote was we were like a coiled spring ready to pounce and Miller was having a effect. Very sad news him being out for the season. It certainly weakens our squad. On reflection with Boyce and Miller out with serious knee injuries, their is no better role model than Barker to have at the club. Our thoughts are with you Will

Our thoughts are with you Will I was thinking the same re Shaun Barkers worth right now, it can only be good for the players injured. Hope the recovery is swift, although these things can't be rushed. Looks like we need yet another player in for cover, unless a player we already have can step up/in?
