I never realized that when a team kicks off the ball could be played backwards. I always thought that the ball should be played forwards and then another player could pass the ball backwards. Don't worry I have just seen that the goal posts changed this year. Everyone back to sleep

Total bore, accurate passing sideways and backwards, as soon as it goes forwards we lose it too easily. Not enough intensity in their game.
Still job done, but have we really got to suffer more of this, I'm not fussed, as said bring on the start of the the league season.

I thought the Republic of Ireland showed last night that you can play good British type football last night in the European championships. High tempo and getting stuck in, the Italians couldn't cope with that approach, one I would like England to adopt, make them play our type of game rather than try to play them at theirs. That's a bit over simplistic but you get my general point.

Sorry Ian. I don't understand why we feel the need to pick on someone's speech impediment. I'm sure I've said many stupid, puerile and offensive things before though.

A repition of an old discussion, but I do like the delayed use of the goal celebration music. Allows the fans to have that initial excitement and then the music kicks in for a second celebration.

Wales 1 Northern Ireland 0. Not the best game, wanted Ireland to win. Come on England let's make it 2 brilliant results in 4 days.

England have not left Europe once. Last time I checked we were still floating in the North Sea in the continent of Europe. It was the United Kingdom who voted in the recent referendum and even then, it was not a referendum to leave Europe, it was a referendum to withdraw from the European Union. The Government of the U.K. still have to invoke article 50 and then a process of negotiations between the UK and the European Union begins. Referenda are also not legally binding as the UK Government is sovereign. A referendum only indicates the views of those who voted and does not instigate law. Just like ALL European Laws have to be agreed by the UK Government, which has the power of veto over European law and has used it regularly over the years.
Unfortunately, we had to allow stupid people, racists and those who, although apparently adults, still think it amusing that someone has a slight speech impediment, to vote.
England football team were very poor and Iceland played well, but I have no passion for either team.

Did not realise that we are floating in the North sea, I thought that we was perhaps the peak of a very old and tall mountain or such like. God I am so stupid.

When have we ever done well? Won World Cup - in England Semis of Euros - in England Semis of World Cup. On the way to that, we beat Egypt 1-0 and the mighty Cameroon 3-2 (although we needed extra time and two penalties and their centre forward was 42). We are not very good at football.
Is it Roy's fault? No - that bunch of muppets should have won last night. I know they deny it but they DONT show any passion. It's all very well them looking distraught at the end (GREAT photo opportunity) but they didn't look bothered during the match. I didn't really think Iceland were that good - England were just worse.
Still, who cares. Onto the next pay cheque. See you in two years for more nonsense.
