As of 10th April our average home crowd was 3,917 in the League this season (after 20 League games)
Since then we had 4,858 v Barnsley and 5,461 v Wigan
That's takes us to an average of 4,000 fans per game approx and obviously the Gillingham game will ensure we are over 4,000 fans average by end of season
It's another positive and helps show progress of the club
Got to think if we get promotion that average crowd will be 6,000 plus next season
Surely season tickets would be close to selling out alone?

The actual home average for League games I've just worked out is currently 4,030 as things stand

It could be higher than that next season if we do go up Observer.

I think it was around 400 when Nigel first arrived and from memory 776 at his first game.

Not sure growth will be that great in home numbers.
We will wait and see. There's been a few games this season where I've wondered where our fans are at.
There'll be a sell out or two next season though!
Really hope we (the fans) enjoy this whilst it lasts. A lot of our heads are in the cloud with expectations at the moment. If we survive a season in the championship I'll be amazed and treat it like promotion!

Average away fans attendance in Championship is 1,400 approx (2014 season figures)
In League One it was 668
So that alone would take us over 5,000
I've got to think home attendance will increase by 1,000 as well
And to be sure of securing tickets for bigger games like Forest, Villa, Wolves, Birmingham, QPR, Leeds, possibly Newcastle, Sunderland, Derby etc fans will need to buy season tickets I think
Fact is most home weekends would be like a Cup Final for us

Some of those clubs would sell 5,000 away tickets alone if offered them

I don't have the figures but I felt our gates in the last two very good seasons of the Conference were actually over 3000.
Anybody know ?
Has league football added to the fan base ?

You need to look at the net home attendences not the overall. It's over 4000 because of the away support. I still don't think our support is as high as it should be.
Take the Wigan game. 5500. Everyone is high fiving as its a good gate, but Wigan bought 1800 -that's 3700 home fans for a game that should really have 4500 home fans minimum. The sad reality is the town is still full of sheep and glory hunting Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea fans which Annoys me. I talk to people about this season and they have not even got a clue where they are in the table.

Average away attendance in League One is just under 700 If we've had that average then that will mean our average home crowd of our fans will now be 3.400 approx Which would be higher than any previous home attendance INCLUDING away fans So we are slowly but surely increasing home fan base I think the attraction of the kind of teams that would be visiting us should we make Championship would produce the biggest hike in home support we've experienced Some seriously big name teams in Championship next season compared to most seasons

If we required championship status would we expect Nigel Clough as manager.or is this a favour to Ben Robinson,we are lucky Nigel likes to work from home. But some big clubs looking in the midlands--Coventry--Aston villa--Forest--even Notts county a bigger club than Burton

We do need more seats. The main stand has more or less been sold out for games since January, so even in League One it's not big enough. The foundations are in to double the height of all the stands along with the plans on how to do it as far as I'm aware. Also on the attendance stats, does anyone have that information going back further? I know when Cloughie joined we were getting around 750 average at Eton Park, I think it was in the region of 1200 when we won the Unibond.....what a great night that was at Vauxhall Motors on a Tuesday night!

The stories and rumour that I have been told are that the foundations are in place to build the 3 terraces upwards but there would be nothing done above the current seated stand. ?? And that the equipment has been scheduled to build the away end up, if we go up. ??

It'll be interesting to see how quickly we expand the Pirelli, I was under the impression we had three seasons to turn it into an all seater.
I wouldn't be in a massive rush. Nowt wrong with getting regular 6500 sell outs for a season on top of the increased revenue from TV and the league, it would stand the Brewers in good stead for years to come.
I certainly hope the rumours of playing at the Ipro aren't true.
Then again I've heard so many rumours over the last couple of weeks.
The best one was on Saturday.
Apparently Ben told a reliable fan he doesn't want promotion, wants us to get to Wembley and lose cos we can't afford to go up.
Problem with that? The lads obviously didn't get that memo or we somehow smashed Colchester by mistake.
