Terraceman has picked up a back injury and looking doubtful for Saturday ! disastrous news, desperately want to go, got some tramadol to try and ease the pain. May have to have a late fitness test on Saturday morning and maybe pay on the gate. If I am fit would anybody be able to offer me a spare car space please ? That sucks mate! Careful with those tramadol, but they may just do the trick for Saturday. Wishing you the best. The car I'm in has 5 fans so sorry cannot offer you a lift, and we'll be parking at Christ the King. Cannot wait for this game, great venue and it's a big game. COYB! Thanks peacock, appreciate that mate. Tramadol are a last resort, was on them after my transplant so know what they do mate ! Hope your injury is healing well too !

Cov will feel its a game they must not lose rather than a must win. A somewhat strange situation to be in being at home where the crowd will be expectant and quickly frustrated if we can keep things tight and stick to our game plan of hitting them with pace on the counter. The Gillingham result/performance gives confidence for this fixture. I'm sure Nigel would've been at the game tonight taking notes.

Coventry fans seem to be posting on the forum that Saturday is a must win game for them, I rather think its a must not lose game for us. If we can pinch the points it will be a huge result. In the grand scheme of things the league is not won in January but this is now one of the most important fixtures in our brief league history. Not that Nigel and the players will be looking at it like that, they will just be concentrating on another game. I have said it previously and i'll say it again, Mousinho stated pre-season we are not playing the size of the club, its history and fan base, its our 11 against there 11 on the day. We tend to play well in front of a big crowd. Will be great if we can get near on 1,500 Brewers there. My back pain is a little easier today, if I keep progressing like this I should pass my fitness test Saturday morning, COYB !

Fans will be fans, the best we can do is show up in numbers and let the lads know we're there. Because of the excellent arena and the size of the crowd that will be there on Sat. this seems like a big game. In reality, it's January we are tott with games in hand over every other team in the top 6. The key is to treat it like any other game, don't put pressure on ourselves and don't be over-confident. Play our game. Last season from this point onward every time he was asked 'the' question Jimmy replied that he doesn't look at the table or what might happen. It's the next game that matters. I'm sure Nigel is doing the same.

Seems strange, the league is taking shape, and clubs like Coventry-Wigan-Sheff Utd-Peterborough,are gaining momentum. And so called smaller clubs -Walsall--Gillingham. are performing well in a league they are familiar with.Burton Albion seem to be spoiling the party ,and teams cant wait to shoot them down. And like Coventry expect their bubble to burst. The problem i have is it all seems so unreal.Burton Albion a top club in div 1.Fans turning up in numbers to see the upstarts beaten. Burton fans visiting top grounds,as their team are the top attraction. The club is inspiration to all fans that they too,can dream. Ben Robinson must be a proud man,Rowett--J-F-H,,helped put us here,,And the man who helped start the journey Nigel Clough,is back to steady the ship. Already this has been another great season for the club. When the going gets tough---The tough gets going,And for Burton Albion it is just a little hill to climb, IF not today then tomorrow--Enjoy us div 1 were here to stay A draw at Coventry fingers crossed------Squeaky bum time its hard.--But exciting

^^^^ I typed up something very similar last week, then hit a bum key on my computer and all was lost.
Yes it's sort of fairytale stuff for Burton, I keep thinking when will the bubble burst?
You know something I don't think it will now (famous last words) we seem to have everything going for us, everything is in our hands. You know when things are going your way when the ref sends off a player (Blackpool) and we play much better and win the game. Any other team might have collapsed, we didn't and it was from that match I suddenly said, it's a real possibility now, believe!

Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster!
Really looking forward to the Coventry game, they've been playing very well recently, especially at home so lets hope we can get something from this game. Any indication as to how many we've sold yet? Anything over 1,500 would be great!

900 Confirmed, suspect we'll be getting close to 1.5k for the game - I hope! All 1,000 tickets sold, more arriving on Friday morning ! I would be surprised if we don't crack 1,500 now as its also pay on the day. Yesterday there were 13 coaches booked, I would expect that figure to rise.

Nice.
Love a big crowd on away days.
We'lol hopefully make the away section look busy. The best help for our team is to make Cov feel like they're away from home... So, sing loud!

Could be a referee change for Saturday. Marriner was supposed to do the Swansea- Sunderland game tonight but phoned in sick.?

Potentially.
If we get the clown that refereed that game I'll be upset. He got the red card and penalty wrong. The lino got an important offside wrong too. There were quite a few other little errors made.
Maybe he will be punished by being sent to league one....

At this rate the council in Coventry might even open the train station for the match! Big event and all that!

Great news on the ticket sales front - 1500 Brewers will be a fantastic effort!
Bit of a strange question, but does anyone know if they sell apple juice in or around the ground?
