Let's get a thread going for our game... Tomorrow.
Swindon visit the Pirelli, we won 1-0 in the reverse leg earlier this season. This will also be their 2nd game in 3 days which will surely lead to tiredness!
Fingers crossed for a victory here to give Clough his first win at the Pirelli.

Think we'll be ok, our match was postponed so we don't have to play 2 games in 50 hours. They do. Would be good to have Robbie back though, Apparently he is close?

No idea as it would appear that there are no press conferences for tomorrow's games...

The pressure is on at top now, time to see how good the squad is.A tired Swindon against fresh Burton should yield 3 points on paper. So a win is on the cards 1--0 will do

Yeah. Very likely that they park the bus and play for a point given that they're tired.
Wait and see!

Don't think Swindon are the type of team to park the bus, not sure they have the players to do that, I expect them to have a go playing good football, hopefully that will suit us. There are no easy games, its a very tight division, I always see us as the underdogs but in reality I am looking for 3 points by any means. The fact they played and we didn't on boxing day will come into play 2nd half I feel. Seeing as the seats are all sold out and talking to friends its looking like a big crowd and a good atmosphere this afternoon. Enjoy the game all !

I enjoyed the game, it was tight as I thought it would be, Swindon tried to play the right way and definitely finished the 1st half on top. Cloughie must have said the right things at half time as I thought we dominated 2nd half although Swindon were always dangerous. Good substitution you could say as Lucas finished the penalty well after brilliant foraging by Beavon. Jon McLaughlin played his part today with some super saves, one particularly 1st half that most thought was going to be the opening goal. Deservedly man of the match !

Very entertaining game and for anyone within earshot of the dugout it was obvious how much winning meant to Cloughie. God knows what level his blood pressure shot up to.

Hugely enjoyable game for many reasons and worth the entrance fee for John McLaughlin's two first half saves alone.
We weren't at our best first half, although we created several goal worthy chances, that probably should have been put away?
Second half, I thought we dominated, just lacking the killer touch in their box, until one more moment of huge effort from Beavon to chase down another lost cause and draw the foul leading to the penalty.
Lucas tucked away the penalty with great grace and power and that was pretty well game over.
Fine margins in a tightly fought game, in which the Brewer's yet again managed to edge.
Are we chasing dreams or another promotion?
I'll tell you in April but until then, we're just two points away from safety now!

McLaughlin save as good as Gordon Banks'. Absolutely. That was the greatest save I think I've ever seen.

McLaughlin save as good as Gordon Banks'. 2 brilliant saves today from Jono but that 2nd one was special! They would be talking about that on MOTD tonight if it had been in the PL.

I don't think either 'team' were particularly good today, although it was entertaining. I don't think that having Robbie, Naylor and Butcher in the middle worked today. Perhaps replace one of those 3 with Akins on the wing and push Duffy up behind Beavon (that is Duffy's best position and where he ended the game). I think Duffy was good for the first 15 minutes. I thought Nasser was good for a lot longer than that, yet he took a bit of stick from a couple of 'fans' near me but neither said anything bad about Duffy during the match. You have to watch the game, Nasser takes the ball into the box and tries to beat a player, then he is double and triple teamed. There is no point in shooting with 3 players in front of you, you have beat them or pass to a player who has made space. Nasser is our top goal scorer, you don't take him off unless he is injured or very poor and he wasn't either. The first sub should have been Akins for Duffy. But perhaps Nigel is trying to keep Duffy keen to stay so he left him on for the whole match despite him being perhaps our worst player on the day. Jono was magnificent.

Thought the ref had a good game today, but can I ask our refereeing colleagues on here how, when their defender and goalkeeper receive attention, the defender is allowed to carry on playing without having to leave the pitch before rejoining? Small point, but worthy of the question IMHO.

I agree with most of that, Duffy has been outstanding recently and deserves a bit of perseverance when things don't go for him. Having had the Clough experience years ago, I don't think he would keep a player on in order to ensure we curry favour with him or his parent club. For me it was a Duffy/El Khayati substitution, Duffy perhaps just gives you a bit more stability in a defensive situation. El Khayati is sublime at times, and sometimes it comes off, not always though. Still in my starting 11 though.
