The club, gives away or massively discounts hundreds if not thousands of tickets through the community trust every season and now, through the new ticketing system, they can track when they come back. By and large we are a fantastically well run and cheap club, yet we regularly being compared unfavourably to clubs with much bigger grounds, crowds and infrastructure that can offer for example, whole stands for families (as with Walsall). Bring your kids to the game for a fiver, let them stand at the front and they will have a great time. The club does listen to feedback and is always trying new initiatives. The fact that some clubs do different things shouldn't mask what a great job and offer we have at Burton. Have a look at Walsall's ticket section and tell me that is simple and straightforward... www.saddlers.co.uk/tickets/admission/Why should we have to get tickets through Walsall's ticket office for the Burton end? That is a rip off as the know they have to offer similar priced tickets but make it as difficult as possible to get them.

My original posting was in no way designed to be disrespectful Funky, or overly critical of the club. But I'd love them little lads to grow up as Brewers fans despite the lure of Forest and Derby (they live in Long Eaton) but I was shocked that the cheapest way we could do it on Saturday was £68. So more of a plea for families to be considered.

I understand Mikey but you can do it for £44 quite safely on the terraces and if the youngsters are not sufficiently engaged yet by what is going on on the pitch, maybe leave it a year or so?

From a post on FB... "they (BAFC) give Burtons schools free tickets my son has had a couple" Just to highlight other great things that the Club do in the community. A HOMELESS pre-school has opened its doors once again after being rescued by the Burton Albion Community Trust. Stretton Pre-School was kicked out of the Springs Children's Centre, in Stretton, in June. Staffordshire County Council decided to close the building and it was feared it signaled the end of the 47-year-old school. But, after hearing of its plight, Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) stepped in to save the day and has provided a room at the Pirelli Stadium. BREWERS manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink visited John Taylor High School to open a new sets of classrooms yesterday. He said: "I know that John Taylor has an excellent reputation, which shows in its exam results. "The school also understands the importance of sport, which not only keeps us healthy but also teaches us important life lessons. "That's something that we all know at Burton Albion. "I'm sure this new facility will help even more students aspire to excellence in their studies." BURTON Albion fans are being encouraged to show up and support their team at tonight's clash at the Pirelli Stadium. The Brewers host bottom of the table Crewe Alexandra in the League One encounter as the team look to bounce back after two defeats. Chairman Ben Robinson is encouraging more people to turn up, especially those who have not seen their team in action this season. He said: "I want to see more people coming along to our games, particularly those who haven't been yet. Hopefully there will be at least 3,000 fans that turn up to cheer the team on." We will be lucky to get a crowd as big as the Rochdale game tonight, particularly with the Vale coming to town on Saturday.
