And whatever Jimmy said to them at half time was clearly inspirational. I suspect no teacups were thrown. He probably told them how much he loved them and gave them all a big hug on the way out of the dressing room. Haha... Jaffa cakes and a hug.

What did I say?? BFC are poor. Feel for their fans as the oyston family have done a number on them As do I. It's a shame when a football club go down so hard. Hopefully they go on up, at some point. I'll keep betting on them to lose...

How many went up? Anyone know? I would estimate about 300 - very noisy and very proud.

Slightly off-topic but not worth it's own thread - been onto the official site to look at fixtures and there is a function which automatically inserts all of the Brewers fixtures into your diary if you have iPad or iPhone. Dunno if it works with Android too but it's a nice little touch.

From a Blackpool fan on FB
Dave Horn THANK YOU BURTON ALBION.. More pressure on our owners, manager and 'players'. Still a deluded 3000 Blackpoool fans went on. Police announced the gate as 3400 (3050 Pool and 350 Burton, Burton fans there, does that sound right?), Blackpool FC announced 6100. Include ST holders even if they don't attend. Pleasure meeting some of you tonight on 'badge corner' Best of luck for the season and will be at yours in January. #‎NAPM

So after a magical mystery tour on the coach we finally made it home.
First 15 or so minutes it was all Burton but we just couldn't create anything clear cut. Blackpool then seemed to take hold of the game and exploited some huge gaps in our midfield. When they scored I'd say you could've probably seen it coming. By half time it looked like an uphill task and the mood amongst the travelling Brewers was a little deflated...but you just knew that Jimmy and David (they'd been doing a lot of discussing since we'd gone a goal down) had the answers.
I don't know what the hell was said or done at HT (I suspect they'd been injecting Red Bull, snorting Colombian marching powder and conjuring up some black magic) but MY WORD they came out like a team possessed for the 2nd half. Blackpool just couldn't live with us. The speed of passing, the closing down, the trickiness of Nasser and Duffy, the Duracell bunny-esque Beacon, the controlled aggression and steadiness of Butcher and Weir and the rock solid back four and GK. It was a turnaround of Southend proportions, complemented by one superbly measured finish from Nasser and a free kick that one minute I was screaming for McCrory to take and the next minute grabbing the poor bastard beside me in celebration because the bloody genius dinked one over the wall and into the back of the net.
My voice has gone, the boys were awesome and I loved every bloody minute. I'm off to bed. I doubt I'll be able to sleep.

Pipped me to the post by half a minute tm! COYB! Looks to be another set-piece goal, from a corner? It was a superb curl in off the right foot cutting the daisies all the way. ,...... Keeper couldn't get anywhere near it at full stretch

18 shots from us, 8 on target, 6 corners 5 points clear of relegation already!! Great result 6 points from 9 and two of those games away Brilliant start to season and clearly playing attacking football . And all three are ex championship/ premiership clubs . What a start !

After all of the predictions that we would win this, or even Blackpool would hand us three points on plate, there was almost a pleasing aspect to the game that we went down by a goal and had to really work for the three points but got them. I can say pleasing in a masochistic sort of way now that I know we have the win... So many times in the past we have been just the tonic that a struggling side needed to restart its season (most notably the Tamworth's of this world who although bottom of the league would still manage to beat us grrrrr!). Back to conceding early... at Barnsley we kept a clean sheet but when we conceded there isn't really enough time to regroup and get anything out of the game. By conceding early we had time to weather the storm - the young lads from Blackpool, egged on by a crowd who were desperate for anything positive to come out of the game . The game could have been over very quickly. So it is the mark of the Brewers' character that we came back as we did, ok it took until the second half, but at least we saw all of the goals in front of our fans and let's face it we are going to have to do this a lot this year (I am a realist pessimist). On a different note, having gone with the Beech Bus (excellent ) it was particularly peeving that the A50 was closed at Tutbury and that the diversion was within a couple of hundred metres from our house and then it took another fifty minutes to get home. I was peeved but if we has lost I would have been bl**dy annoyed. It's surprising what three points can do for your mood. 'Hope this makes sense- it is gone 2am and I am still unable to sleep. COYB!
