In September I'll be walking 300 miles between The Strathmore Arms, County Durham and The Strathmore Arms, Hertfordshire via independent breweries. As Norah, Funky and Johnno are aware I am a hefty unit fuelled by pies & pints so this is not going to be easy. I'm a Burton-born lad & Albion supporter so I've made sure my route passes through the town. If you see an old bloke with a rucsac walking towards Henhurst Hill from the north on 19th Sept or through Burton into Leicestershire on the 21st Sept please give me a shout of encouragement. For anyone interested, I'm walking to support Prostate Cancer UK, www.justgiving.com/strathmorestroll/ and my local hospice down south, www.justgiving.com/Strathmoresaunter/You'll be able to follow my progress (e.g. Day 1: Gave up, caught bus) on my blog at thewickingman.wordpress.com/ COYB (and me)

We've had to suffer some daft stuff on the main forum recently. Just to address the balance...I've recently had brilliant support from a Gillingham fan @vipgills who has become a one man social media whirlwind in helping me to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. I don't know the guy but it's worth remembering that we are still #leagueonetogether on the things that matter.

Good luck ... I will try and see you as you come though the Henhurst!
