I guess you can't blame a guy for climbing the ladder, so to speak... LEE Glover has left Burton Albion to take over as senior professional development coach at League One rivals Coventry City. Glover joined the Brewers last month as the academy's head of coaching, moving to the Pirelli Stadium from neighbours Derby County, where he had been the Under-21s' manager for two years. That is the role he will reprise at the Ricoh Arena, with the 45-year-old set to manage the Sky Blues' U21 outfit. JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink says there is plenty of time left yet for striker Aurelien Joachim to get his chance in the Burton Albion first team. The Luxembourg international has been "unlucky" according to the Brewers boss not to play more this season – as Albion have needed the pace of Timmy Thiele up front to see out games on the counter-attack. Hasselbaink was also full of praise for his medical staff and their work with Ismail – who has endured another frustrating spell with injury. In all competitions, midfielder Palmer has made 64 starts and 35 substitute appearances for the Brewers since bursting onto the scene in the 2012-13 season. He made three appearances for Albion that year, making his debut as a 16-year-old in a 2-0 win over Altrincham. Palmer had been released by the Derby County academy and was quickly snapped up by Albion – and has since flourished in the side. The Burton Albion forward started the season as first-choice left-winger but has more recently been deployed through the middle. The Brewers tend to line up in a 4-2-3-1 with that advanced midfield three rotating throughout the 90 minutes. El Khayati, Mark Duffy, Lucas Akins, Jerome Binnom-Williams, Matt Palmer and even Zeli Ismail have played in those positions in recent weeks. Think Robbie has it spot on....but ouch, that foot from Procter must have hurt!! "We're just trying to walk the ball in," said Weir. "There's too many touches around the edge of the box but obviously you've seen Matt Palmer's shot against Fleetwood – some people just need to let them go. "If you're around the 18-yard box you never know what can happen but I just feel at the moment we're trying to walk the ball into the goal. "But that's not an excuse as to why we were 4-0 down though it could have helped if we'd had more shots."
