Well it is certainly good news, I hope they all have had fair offers and sign up. I particularly agree with JFH's comments on Phil. From an already high standard I think he has noticeably improved again this season and also potted a good few goals. It is easy to forget that full back was not necessarily his specialist position when he came here. He is getting better and better.
Naylor has looks an excellent player, you can see why Derby had him there, will be a very good player in League One.
Jon Mc has looked very assured, and also looks like he will be very good at a higher level.
Be a great start to get these three signed.

Add these 3 to the players currently signed for next season (Moose, Shane, Damo, Robbie, Lucas, Matty, Beavs, Knowles(?)) and we will have a solid group who have been together for at least one full season. It looks good for our start in League 1.

Good news - well deserved, Naylor really grew as a player from when I first saw him for Burton
Any reason why Nasser wouldn't have been mentioned in that same article?

I'm assuming Maletic and MAC won't be getting an offer

I guess it depends if JFH thinks they can make the jump upto League 1 standards. I would be surprised if he let Maletic go without even playing him, JFH had him on trial when at Antwerp and has gone out of his way bring him to the UK. Hardly a commute for the guy.
Maybe give him a short term contract to cover the friendlies and have a good look post injuries.
Not sure on MAC, was he a patch up for the run in or for bigger things.
Really hope Nasser signs up, we could make some money out of him in the future.

Agree with your comments on Naylor, I wasn't convinced at first but he stepped up when Robbie was suspended for 2 games. On the other comments, I agree Maletic will/should be given time to heal and show what he has. I would think he and MAC might get a pay as you play offer. We have to get Nasser on board I think!

Maletic I think is showing what he does by being injured. Never seen a professional sportsman so old with so few games under his belt.
Ability to play 30 plus matches every season is a reason to sign or not sign players alone IMO
And he's never got close

Maletic may of may not workout for us, but I trust Jimmy to make the right decision on him.

Sounds like Stefan Maletic will be release along with Jimmy Phillips and that Nasser El Khayati is staying with the club and possibly Kelvin Maynard according to todays Burton Mail. Talks are to open with Adam McGurk too.

Maletic was standing right beside us at the match, he said he hopes to be here next season. and a mate spoke to Naylor yesterday and he said he told him his contract should be signed this week!

No disrespect to Maletic at all but if he was to be given a pay as you play contract the poor lad would end up destitute and homeless in a foreign country!

Academy players Mark Shelton and Sam Austin have been offered contracts today! Both have been on the bench at times and had a couple of spells in games this season.

That meets the target of 2 academy lads becoming senior pros each season
Great news for those two
