Tom Parkes who played for us in L2 a fair few years ago has left Livingston and joined Hartlepool He should be doing better than that - great young player when he was here.

Marcus harness and hamza choudhary on sky tonight Harness could find himself being a premier league player next season! Just looked at his stats. 23 goals in 111 for Portsmouth. How time flies. I never rated him in a yellow shirt (except the hat trick at Rochdale) but fair do's to him, he's worked hard.

Paul Hurst returns to be Shrewsbury manager for a second time whilst his last but one predecessor Steve Cotterill is the new manager of FGR. Both solid appointments IMO and think FGR will stay in L2 now.

Anyone know what Daniel Jebbison is doing these days or how he is? Did a Google, but nothing too recent.

Anyone know what Daniel Jebbison is doing these days or how he is? Did a Google, but nothing too recent. Apparently something happened during a medical over the summer which caused a blood clot which kept him out for some time, and he was considering taking the club to court for malpractice (that's off the Sheff Utd forum from last month). He's expected to leave the club in the summer on a free.

Tremendous strike from Brynn Morris for Newport against Man Utd in the FA Cup game currently 2-2

Bryn Morris was clearly a very talented player from his previous history who showed glimpses of what he could do at Burton but lacked consistency.
Honourable mention also for Ryan Delaney - a central defender who was not given a fair crack of the whip by Nigel Clough in my view. He came as a raw youngster from the League of Ireland, Wexford I think, and immediately returned to that League but to Cork City on loan. Not the highest rate League I agree, but he was a very well-regarded performer who helped Cork to I believe, a league and cup double. On his return at the end of the season he was immediately shipped out on loan again to Rochdale, never given any sort of chance to prove himself, even as a sub. Burton were not exactly over-blessed with central defenders at the time, Mousinho having just left. I can only assume there was some sort of personality clash between him and Clough, but it struck me at the time that it seemed very odd having brought him from Ireland he was given no chance to show what he could do. He has since been a consistent performer with Rochdale, Wimbledon, Morecambe and now Newport. Was he only ever League 2 standard and would not have made it in League 1? We'll perhaps never know. I certainly formed the view at the time Clough had taken against him. Solid performance against Man U for Newport today. He still has a few good years left in him. Would be good to see him get a chance at a higher level.

Zac Ashworth curled Boltonβs final penalty round the wrong side of the post to put Blackpool through 5-4 (on pens) and into the semi finals of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, following a pulsating tie last night at Bloomfield Road.

Maybe he should have applied himself better? I have no clue to be fair. But I would tend to trust Mr Clough's judgement.
