Here is the Campaign Page setup by her friends and family to help raise the £70,000 needed. They are currently at around 10% of that total and the clock is ticking for her. Do what you can... www.ninasccibattle.co.uk/page4.phpThere is a Fudraiser at The Pirelli www.burtonmail.co.uk/Nina-s-charity-night-help-funding-efforts/story-23266531-detail/story.htmlHere is a link to buy tickets for the fundraiser/auction/dinner with Willie Thorne at the Pirelli on Nov.26th. www.ninasccibattle.co.uk/page1.php- Another positive way to contribute to this worthy cause, take items for recycling to STAR FOUNDATION CHARITY, Queen Street, Burton DE14 3LP ( former Webb Ivory Factory ) and say " they are for Nina Parsons " . Then after all items are weighed in, Pete Tryner will add up the cash raised and present a cheque to Nina. They take matched pairs of shoes, clothing, books, cd's, dvd's ( pirated or original ), old video tapes, belts and bags. The phone number for Star Foundation is 01283 741406. Phone for the opening hours. - Our local MP Mr Andrew Griffiths, Keith Large and Steve Bowring are planning a live music event at Burton Market Hall, more details to follow, all to raise funds for this worthy cause ...... Not a typo, I mean inside the Market Hall, to prove it can be done and our local Council are behind us all the way .... : ) - There will be music event to raise money for Nina Parsons at Marstons Sports and Social Club, Feb 13th 2015, organised by the 'always generous of his time' Mr Nolan Salmon Another way to donate - if you have any "rainy day" coin jars collecting dust then Phone Keith Large 07971 972704 and he will pick them up from you and deliver them to Nina. ***NOTE: they are getting quite a few coins, if anyone has or knows of a free coin counter that could be used temporarily?

I have decided to do my bit for this fundraiser by collecting money from the teams/players in games that I referee on Sat. and Sun. I will match all donations collected each week from the teams up to £25, which is the referees match fee. Todays collection totalled £27.50, plus my £25 brings the opening total to £52.50. Spread the word to all local league teams to make sure I don't get paid this season.
Thank you to todays teams, FC Team Wild and Alrewas Athletic FC.

Why don't you at least put a link to this on the main page? I am sure know one would mind that and you would get more views for sure. Good cause, worth championing.

Well, my original thought was that if it was in this section it would always (or mostly) be the lead story (on the right) when viewed from the General page, and if I put it in the Brewers Talk section it would get pushed down out of sight as new threads were added. Plus its not Brewers related, what you think Norah? well, a link is on the main page now!

from Nina - "the Burton Albion charity night in honour of Nina's Need raised £4500 on the night and we are so delighted. Thank you've all who attended, played and performed." www.burtonmail.co.uk/SAVE-LIFE-Nina-Parsons-days-away-booking-life/story-24825655-detail/story.htmlThe total raised so far is now at £42,000, and still £28,000 to go. There are and will be many events in and around Burton in the coming months. Keep an eye and ear out for them and help her out if you can. Look for the t-shirts and collection jars with the Ninas' Need logo...

BURTON Albion fans are being urged to get behind a campaign to help raise £70,000 to pay for a Burton woman's lifesaving operation. Brewers chairman Ben Robinson has confirmed that the game on Boxing Day against Tranmere Rovers will be used to raise money for Nina Parsons, of Stapenhill, and her Nina's Need appeal. A special collection, overseen by Bretby Rotary Club, will take place at the Pirelli Stadium and all funds raised will go towards paying to help save the life of the 31-year-old. Mr Robinson told the Mail: "I am sure that all of our supporters will dig deep to support a great cause. Nina is so close to her goal now and I hope that all of us here at Burton Albion can play our part in getting her closer to the £70,000 total. It was a good time today fundraising for Nina in the Pirelli main reception area. Thank you to everyone in the executive suites and boxes who gave so generously! I cannot wait to hear the final figure on donations raised today. The £70K initial target has apparently been met but this is an ongoing thing as there will be follow-up treatment and another probable surgery to finish things. And when healthy Nina wants to start a charity to support others with the same condition so please don't think this cause is over .

Delighted to contribute today, the Burton Mail says she has reached her target and will be off for treatment soon. I admire her spirit and everyone else who has supported her. I hope that the treatment is successful and we see her soon at the Pirelli soon. The fact the club has enabled this collection on the biggest day of the season, just great!

Put a few quid in myself yesterday and I gather the £70,000 target was met on Christmas day fittingly. Well done to the Button Mail and Burtonians and lets pray 2015 meets the hopes of Nina Parsons and her family.

From Ninas FB page today.... £729 raising at Burton Albion yesterday, truly amazing thank you. xx I'm really grateful to you all doing this for me on boxing day. Once i am better I've got A LOT of rounds to get in.
The Burton Mail thought they were helping by putting me on the front cover yesterday, they didn't make it clear that 70k is not the final total needed anymore, so lots of people thought the collection was going to be cancelled. of course it's not the case and ever penny helps, we need 100k at least, we get our total invoice start of January, But 100k is the new goal. The Mail are going to make it clear in the next editions what the issues are that mean we need to raise more money.
