I trust that the serial critics of both the club and the management team attend and air their grievances in person as opposed to hiding behind social networking sites.
In short...you've got your chance. Speak up or shut up.

Why doesn't Ben turn his 'phone on? When will Ben get his cheque book out? What do you mean this is the 21st century and he doesn't have a cheque book? Why, oh why, oh why, oh why? What is Rowett playing at? Who are you? How did that happen?

I can't go but here is a question you could ask for me if you don't mind. To the manager.
"There was a rumour that a deal broke down for a new player the very same day that Billy Kee left us. Is that true and if so can you tell us who we nearly signed?"

E7#9 a bit rich from somebody who insulted Billy Kee when he left, your post was removed, why hide behind your keyboard to insult a player who gave good service to the football club. As for people having a opposite view to most of the happy clappers on here,it's a forum not a appreciation society!

At least the ones between the two entrances on either side of center line. When they do work it us difficult to hear them, but they are often sputtering, spitting or simply not working. I don't know about the others.

I was there last night and overall it was a good evening. There were many good questions regarding GR and his personal plans and ambitions, which he answered very well, without committing himself completely, because has he said you never know what might happen. Ben answered questions regarding promotion and his feelings that League 1 would not be a problem for us. Dave Child's hosted and kept the whole thing moving and light hearted, even if he did throw a few crap questions of his own in. The first questions answered were sent in via Twitter etc. and then the questions came from the floor. The food was very good with home made pies rather than factory ones, chips and mushy peas. The single fact that stunned me the most was Ben saying there were 200+ on the payroll, including the trust and the community offshoots etc. and that more than half that number were full time. There was a lot of disappointment viewed about attendances, leading to the inevitable game advertising, and the way the club are working hard at schools and in the community to encourage attachment to the club, but these efforts are long term obviously.

Any feedback from last night? How was the fans forum those who went?? LikeLike · · Share 3 people like this. Ian McGibbon Still going on, very interesting, very honest and makes you very proud to be part of this club. 11 hrs · Like · 17 Nolan Salmon Most interesting snippets then please 11 hrs · Like · 1 Ian McGibbon May reflect on a few tomorrow but to be fair, some of the things need to stay in that room 10 hrs · Like · 5 Tim Miles Very interesting and very honest from both Gaz and Ben! Top night 10 hrs · Unlike · 7 John Pottsy Potts genuine comments 10 hrs · Like · 2 Sam Goldsworthy We know how much Billy Kee was sold for 9 hrs · Like · 4 Lauren Ralph Hawkins Why do they need to stay in the room ?? Are we not burton fans ? 9 hrs · Like · 7 Nigel Mason was interesting to hear who our previous manager could of got? now that would have made a very pretty penny!! always had full respect for Ben on how he has run the club so well 8 hrs · Like · 1 Nigel Mason and for those who wonder why we never leave anyone up on corners it's because we conceded a very large percentage of goals from corners so Gary wanted to address that even if it meant having to defend any balls coming back at us afterwards! 8 hrs · Like · 1 Sam Goldsworthy Pesch didn't want to sign Jamie Vardy and Ben regrets not putting his foot down and signing him. Also Gary said Pesch never did any coaching it was all Gary. Ben said it was a mistake making Pesch manager. 8 hrs · Like · 1 Reece Brown Well not a mistake as such but he wished he would've put Gary in charge instead 8 hrs · Like · 4 Shaun Sanders Wow !! The chairman said it was a mistake makin pesch boss ?? Did he really say that ? 6 hrs · Like Martin John Sounded interesting. Wish I'd ave gone now. Was there any confidentiality agreements signed though ? Was it on the ticket? If not then I would assume a transcript could be made available to fans who didn't go? Also was the Mail there? Would hope they were & report on everything that was said??? 3 hrs · Like · 2 Reece Brown Unfortunately they may struggle to report on everything that was said as there was simply too much said! Some very interesting points though and definitely worth going. 3 hrs · Like · 3 Callum Prince Was the kee fee in the region of £230,000?? 2 hrs · Like Sam Goldsworthy Your way off Callum Prince 1 hr · Like · 2 Martin John Re Billy, I know they say "never go back" & some Albion fans will probably slate me for this, but would (could) he come back on loan due to his sever lack of opportunity at Scunthorpe so far & was that question asked last night? 1 hr · Like Nigel Mason he was not happy about being on the bench here so doubt it and from what Gary said, Billy was not second choice up front, the reason for selling him was that he was out of contract at the end of the season so would have gone for nothing, of course (this is my opinion not Gary's!) if he had stuck it out on the bench and got a chance through injury to others he might of got a regular starting place? I trust in Gary and although I liked Billy and would be happy if he came back from what was said it sounded like he did not fit in with what Gary wants regarding movement up front?? 1 hr · Like · 1 Martin John That's fair enough. 1 hr · Like Ian Hawkins No Shaun sanders he didn't say that. He said that he sometimes thinks Gary should have been given his chance from the outset. 1 hr · Like Jackie Smith It was a great evening of open honesty from our chairman and manager. BR did not say it was a mistake recruiting Pesch but what he said was he should have signed GR at the time. However GR at that time was not in the frame at all. It was Pesch and Darren Moore. When Moore didn't come, that's when GRs name came into the mix. They both seem great guys and I would hate for either of them to get misquoted and get any flack because of it 43 mins · Like Ian McGibbon When I said stay in the room, sometimes, it is not what is said but the way it is interpreted. Sam for instance, interpreted that Ben said Pesch didn't want to sign Jamie Vardy. That is not what I took from it. I also interpreted what the manager said about Billy Kee in a slightly different way than Nigel. It is difficult sometimes to recreate the context of what was said in a soundbite on Facebook. Great evening though, very honest, some good questions and interesting answers. I asked which was their proudest single moment in their time at the club. Both had several, the chairman very proud of taking a team to Wembley, but he settled on the Man Utd game for all that it meant to the club coverage wise and financially. Gary settled on the 1 - 0 home win versus Gillingham in his spell as caretaker, the match that ended the long winless run. 42 mins · Like · 4 Jackie Smith And you'll be pleased to know the food was great. Not at all like on match days. Of course one of the sponsors said his food was always great on match days cos he's in the posh bit. He should anchor his feet a bit more firmly on the ground and join us mere mortals down below. Let him join a looooooong queue to be told there's nothing left of what you want but loads of balti pies 39 mins · Like Ian Hawkins Agreed Ian. My take was that Pesch wanted Vardy but was put off by the fee which would have been a significant one by our standards. 36 mins · Like

Unfortunately you could have almost predicted that someone would go to the forum, hear something and then run and tell the facebook group a warped, out of context version of the facts just because it's a "headline" so he can get attention. The more gullible of our supporters will now believe the doctored version regardless of any "proper" version that gets posted later. C'est la vie.
Immensely proud of the club for doing this. I know for a fact from bits and bobs I've seen on twitter that supporters of a few other clubs are envious that we've not only had a forum in the first place but that it was a very positive experience.
This tickled me - "Why don't we leave anyone up for corners???" "Well...we were conceding a lot from corners when we did but now we're not, we don't" - we're not exactly blessed with rocket scientists and brain surgeons round here, are we.

"Well...we were conceding a lot from corners when we did but now we're not, we don't" - we're not exactly blessed with rocket scientists and brain surgeons round here, are we. That indeed is the problem Spence, I don't think the comment on Facebook was made maliciously but it is all about context and the whole answer that either Ben or Gary made. Someone else on Facebook has now asked whether Ben has a 5 year vision. The short answer is no, the long answer was very insightful and interesting but it would take me too long to type out my memory of it, which again may not be shared by everyone. Another example. My view of what Gary tactfully said about Billy Kee was that he was unfit, not getting fit, too slow and only scored against crap teams. Gary never said any of that but I have taken that perception (WRONG as it may be). That is because I have taken from it what I heard and added it to my own preconceived view... Add to it what he said about Alex MacDonald and the way he has made a real effort, in the last year of his contract... A very interesting evening, done in the right spirit all round.

Excellent evening at the forum yesterday. Good atmos, good food, generally decent questions and honest answers. 3 entertaining hours that gave us a really good insight into the way the two top blokes think. Beforehand I thought that some of the responses from Gaz and Ben might be a little PR spin heavy but thankfully this wasn't the case. I particularly liked the bit when Gaz said (tongue in cheek) in response to a question, that he wouldn't be asking fergie to come and do a Ryder cup style pep talk to the lads anytime soon because we're top of the league and there's no need to risk upsetting the applecart. And we couldn't afford him. And the lads might not understand his Glaswegian accent! We've got a couple of shrewd operators looking after our club and we can be sure that they are doing their utmost to give us a successful team that we can be proud of. Spread the word Brewers!!! PS I agree about some things staying in the room. Ben and Gary were good enough to be pretty open with those present and some stuff could easily be misconstrued if we weren't to reciprocate the trust shown in us. Chinese whispers and all that. Just be sure to get to the next forum if you possibly can. Just my opinion like. UP THE BREWERS!

I'm a new Burton fan - they are my second team tbh.
I've followed a bigger East Mids clubs for decades very closely.
And from experience - you guys saying keep certain things in the room are spot on. There is an element of trust required if you want them to be honest with you and somebody spouting off can ruin it for future events.
At most bigger clubs you get nothing or meaningless answers as a result of trust being broken.
Burton is a special type of club and what you experienced last night is hard to get at other clubs that's for sure.
I also recognise the comment about a player in final year of contract (Macodnald) getting his act together (assuming I've understood it correctly). That's great and he's contributing well now as a result but I've seen many players do that in the past - I call them cheats for not getting their act together throughout the contract.
Maybe MacDonald has just grown up. Or maybe he should only get a years contract at a time in future.
