Its a one horse race if you throw in the cup wins, Mick Mellon in 2nd I reckon followed by Mark Yates and Jim Bentley.

Gary should win it. Thoroughly deserves it. First of many hopefully.

By all means the award should go to our Gaffer! It is only a projection of the things he is doing with this group and of the road he has set for us Brewers. The only way is up!
Up The BREWERS!!

Morecambe have one less point than us and I know it's not the league but we also beat Wigan and QPR and Gary still doesn't win it . Don't think Gary will lose any sleep over it.

Dead right Atwoods, as Gary says here, it would have been a distraction. As fans we're accustomed to the club getting no recognition for the achievements of the players, manager and chairman. I hope we can all follow GR's example and treat disappointment and success in the same way.

It's disappointing as we would all like to see him (and Kev) recognised at some point. It's a league award so perhaps cup games are not factored in the decision? Plus, before the start of this season Morecombe were favoured to be relegated and he had them tott for most of the month, so he deserves consideration as well I guess.

They've mentioned cup games as a factor in the award many times before.
I was surprised to see that Gary hadn't won it until I clicked on the article and saw Don Goodman's name mentioned. Nice bloke but about as knowledgeable about football as my neighbour's cat is.

I just read the write ups for all 3 league MOTM winners. No mention of cup games in any of them and all 3 lost their cup games so it seems they are not considered.
