BBC text commentary appears to be slow, I am assuming the game is over and Brewers have won, Hope I am correct in that.
Att: 2,389 - could be better, we just need a couple more wins to spark attention in the Town.
TENTH in the L2 table.
Another clean sheet, with a win - so now we can expect the moaners to be out in force for the next couple of days I reckon .. .. .. ;D
Way to go Lads - Thanks ! !

They were superb today Texas. Oxford are good side . Zola's first goal was worth the entrance fee alone . I though Tommo (Tomlinson) made a big difference today as Oxford came out all guns blazing for the second half and if two of his saves had been goals it would have changed the game . Thouroughly agree with MOM . Maghoma defended and attacked really well , fully deserved the title , but it could easily have been Zola's too . Excellent team effort, bring on York .. Proud today to be a brewer

My first game of the season today......blimey.....Rowett HAS been busy.
Where do I start? Tomlinson - excellent. Came out for crosses, smothered one bloke at his feet, big kicks (really big!) and what looked like a couple of great saves. Well, they went for corners. Defence. Can't pick one between them - played as a unit. Noticed Diamond doing a lot of constructive yelling and geeing up his team. Midfield. Maghoma, a new signing, or is it the same bloke who was playing for us last season? Not sure. Weir - non-stop. Taylor - back to his old self - funny what a bit of confidence will do for a player. Lee Bell gave me my favourite moment. Right at the end, near a corner, he was winding up an Oxford player who was giving him some grief - "Aaaah, is it because you're losing? Aaaahhhhh". Brilliant. Winds the other team up, not his own. Zola - immense. I thought he was brilliant last season. I didn't realise he could get any better - I didn't cheer that first goal cos I was too busy laughing at how good it was. Patterson - a forward who comes back and fights for the ball. Got hurt sticking his head onto an Oxford boot. Good lad! We also fought like dogs to keep a clean sheet. We were winning 4-0, who cares? Well, our team cared a lot today and I'm very proud of them.
Before anyone accuses me of going all giddy at one (?) great result, I spent the last ten minutes remembering our fantastic wins against Crewe & Swindon this time last year...........
..............still, the cold, hard winter is a long way off so LET'S ENJOY THIS ONE.
COME ON YOU BREWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Superb performance with unbelievable finishing today. All 4 goals were excellent, with Calvin's being the pick of the bunch. The main worry I had in the second half, was their right winger got round the back of McCrory too often and too easily. I guess he just had the measure of him today. This is bound to happen with certain players, in some games, but fortunately, we were still able to keep a clean sheet, which was just as pleasing as the 4 goals. I'm not knocking McCorry, as overall I have been impressed with him, in the games I've seen him in. I thought it was a toss up between Mags and Calvin for "Man of the Match" myself. Both deserved a 9. Diamond and Holness, let nothing by, and O'Connor is fantastic. It was a good performance by the whole team. No one let us down. Can't believe the poor attendance, but all the team can do is keep this form going.

Credit to the Oxford fans - instead of walking out, abusing the players or simply just booing they showed their class by sing.., "THIS IS EMBARRASSING, THIS IS EMBARRASSING!" such eloquence, such finesse. I thought, "true chaps, terribly embarrassing!" But if the ninth minute header from Michael Raynes had gone in things could have been very different. Having aid that, who cares? We deserved some good fortune against Oxford for once we got it and the game was was a delight to watch today, i agree with all above, let's enjoy the moment. It was particularly satisfying for me to see Potter's influence on the game slowly fade and although at the time the thought of half an hour of battening down the hatches seemed to be a horrendous prospect to endure- but we actually scored again. Woohoo am still smiling! Lastly, thinking of defending a lead, does anyone remember the 85 minutes of defending a 0-1 lead against St Albans? Now that WAS torture to behold.

I just hope we can hold onto all of these players. O'Connor is the bees knees, absolutely fantastic player. Will be gutted when he has to go back, but can't see any way that he will end up plying his trade in L2. Mcrory has been a revelation at left back. A proper full back.
How long we can hold onto Zola I honestly don't know. He is starting to stick out like a sore thumb in this league. Just far far too good.
Tomlinson is a fantastic addition. It's nice to have someone between the sticks who is built like a shed and can clear people out of the way etc. I didn't quite believe it when someone said he'd been on the cover of men's health mag (given that those blokes are usually real gym junkies who wouldn't really be built for football at all) but in fact he has. The bloke could probably duff up Lee Hughes with his little finger. Terrifying.
