Last night and tonight saw the first legs of the Conference play-offs.
The results were:
Wrexham 2-1 Kidderminster Grimsby 0-1 Newport (in which Cleveland Taylor played against Tony James)
Who do we want to see promoted? I'd love to see Kidderminster back, it's another local one for us.

On the basis that there is a possibility that we might....... I have moved this from the other board.
Kidderminster is definitely my vote. Steve Burr is the best, most local, and probably equally inexpensive manager that we will now never have. He has done a terrific job there without them being a glamorous or cash rich club and after a dreadful start to the season too.
Also I do like the fish and chips from the shop opposite the railway station and it would be the easiest trip out of the three.
Speaking of their poor start, does anyone know where / if Ryan Austin is playing his football at the moment?

Brackley Town. It was a loan move that turned into a permanent deal.
Brackley are in the Blue Square North play off places.

Newport or Kiddie for me. Newport will have completed the long road back after folding in the late 80's.
The Kiddie fans that I have met on match days have been OK, I suppose there are nasty b*****ds in every community. Bring on the soup and pies.

Grimsby - great chips and arcades in Cleethorpes.
Great burgers at Kiddy.
My money's on Wrexham, though.

In Cleethorpes I saw some local residents kicking somebodys car. Having said that I walked up Princess Way after that home match with a small group of their fans who were OK. THey were going to dine at the Bilash before heading home. I think we should always remember that 99% of fans are happy to mix together. Millions have to be spent guarding against a few idiots.

Why Grimsby would not be welcome (Cleveland apart of course)... www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioxcwyj8xUIJust watching that again, a few things occur: Complete k****s from Grimsby, idiot kids from Burton nearly got a severe kicking, brilliant police work to protect the Burton fans and afterwards to convict 50+

If Grimsby game up then I wouldn't particularly fear what would happen at the Pirelli...I'd be fearful of what would happen when we went to Blundell Park.
I'd like to see Kidderminster come up but I agree with sinfinbovril and also fancy Wrexham to get promoted.
